Scam!!! Shame on you for making money off the poor. Homelessness is big business. Shell give you some slop to eat which all comes donated. She is phoney as hell in this staged infomercial. I was homeless and took control of my life without the help of this witch. Get jobs and stop depending on these horrible people . They are exploiting you!! No ones going to take care of you. God wants you to look out for yourself. Wake up!!! These people don't do this for free. Don't be naive. Apartments for welfare queens. They'll be dependant forever and all these charities will be there making big bucks from your misfortune. Do your research!!! Prove me wrong

Let me ask the four people that commented below. Have any of you gone to her for help, have you visited the buildings, and for Kelly Shaeffer, you sound like you're an atheist. I can honestly say I've never met her, never been inside the building and thankfully have never had to ask for help. However, I have dropped off clothing, shoes, toys, books to this place to help the homeless. I personally feel she's doing what Jesus asked us to do, to "love one another as I have loved you." Sometimes people can't get on their feet without the help of people like Mary Jo. If she were a scam, have you gone to the local authorities to report her and have her shut down? I say shame on all of you for condemning someone who's trying to help people who have nothing and no where to go! Have you done your research on homelessness? From 2009-2014, homelessness in the Twin Cities INCREASED by 15%, and while some choose to be homeless to feed their addictions and/or not pay taxes, there are some that are forced out of the their homes due to job cuts. From what I learned early on, Mary Jo and her staff educate people and help them help themselves to get good jobs and get back on their feet. Now, if you four are against the homeless, I ask you. What if that person you see holding their sign on the side of the road were a member of your family or a friend of yours that fell on hard times but was too ashamed to tell you? Would you look the other way, yell at them to get a job and then drive off in your car, holding your iPhone, going back to your warm home with your food? If that is the case, and I'm not saying it is cause I don't know any of you, then shame on all of you! Obama would not have given her a medal of honor if he thought for one minute she was a fraud. Think about that!
