bailly and varane really should be our two centre backs. great on the ball and passing ability plus super fast to recover and great tackling. martinez is slower than both. lindelof has better awareness so he doesnt get caught out. tuanzebe then mengi. oh, and then jones and then maguire.

Varane needs to start alongside Martinez, and if for some reason the board is forcing ETH to play Maguire bc he’s English and it’s a World Cup year, then he could start both Varane and Maguire at CB and Martinez at cdm. He could clearly do a better job than those clowns we currently have in that position and would bring a lot of defensive stability which would also free our attack. I have faith in Ten Hag but if he keeps starting the same players as vs Brighton then his failure will come down to him.
