Loving these tutorials. I know I'm a bit late here, but when I am making little notebooks, I only have a normal stapler, so what I do is open it up, arrange my pages how I want them, then put a rubber (eraser) under where I want the staple and press it in. It remains open and stuck in the rubber, but all you have to do is press the staple closed with the end of a pencil or something with a flat edge. Works a treat 🙂

Your creativity continues to astound me! I think I have everything I need to make this, other than a few bits that I can pick up easily . If someone didn’t have a long arm stapler and really wanted staples instead of stitches, they could manually add the staples if they were willing to do the extra bit of work. Just use a single staple (or 2 or 3 if one is too small to maneuver) to mark the puncture holes at the position you want the staples, use a push pin or awl to puncture the holes in paper, in small stacks of 3-6 sheets at a time, using the first sheet as a template for the rest of the sheets in the notebook. Gather all the sheets and line them up, insert a single (or two) staples in each set of holes, then push the arms of the staple down with a butter knife or something similar. It takes a shorter period of time to do it than explain it. A final suggestion is to *use accordion pockets,* like the ones on the inside back cover of a bullet journal or in an accordion file folder, to provide a lot more room in the pockets.
