Run a full DexNav attempt. I don’t know if it’s possible without it or just insane luck like Huge Power on broken mons. We want to see further in the game and you win honestly.

Wrote the same the other day. Randomizer hardcore is imposible even with very Lucky encounters. For some Battles you just need very specific tools. Later the game gets extremely difficult with extremely unfair Battles like permanent tailwind + permanent psychic terrain and crazy things like that

@@danvader2699 I don’t know if you remember but Shady ran a short little series where he caught 2-3 per route and picked the best one. Personally I enjoyed that format and think for Hardcore it would be perfect. I just don’t want him to get burnout before he gets a deep run, RadRed is my favorite.

@@danvader2699The worst so far is Brendan’s last battle before Victory road is “a swamp slows your Pokemon to 25% of your speed” or something like that. Basically have to accept no Pokemon are going to be able to go first without priority. Also Clair with random abilities is very hard because you pretty much have to find something that can one shot the Shuckle otherwise you deal with sticky webs and stealth rock. At least with regular you can use things like Water Bubble Jellicent Water Spout. Possibly A choice Band Palafin or Specs Inteleon. Also 9 Pokemon with no breaks against the usual Cerulean Cave back to back is brutal on a regular run

@@MichaelMcCloud29 for me the worst are koga with the mentioned permanent tailwind+ psychic terrain (no priority moves alowed) and may with permanent magma storm (not able to switch and like 1/8 damage every turn), specially may its nuts, imposible to do without sac mons. Later the elite 4 and champion of course is the ultimate challenge and you can forget about making It without some extremely Broken mons.

Yeah knowing what some of the endgame is, and now reading it in these comments, the real issue is that no Pokemon is guaranteed to function like you need it. Thus requiring immense luck.

That Lunala switch when you had a healthy mon that could burn was a crazy play

I get it if you’re trying to just learn as you go for content and adjust as needed, but I think randomized encounters will make HC borderline impossible. The battles get significantly harder. Sabrina has perma trick room. Cinnabar island battles have perma magma storm so you can’t switch without pivoting moves. If you do dexnav, I’ve found that Iron Hands is arguably the best mon you can get early in the game. Massive bulk and hits like a truck. Fake out, slow volt switch. Basically has it all and carries against Sabrina which is a battle that needs to be planned ahead for.

Full Dexnav and all statics seems to be the only way to beat hardcore

Hardcore is really just ridiculous man, especially the later game. I think seeing how far is viable with all the stops pulled out would be neat - full dexnav, save viewer for all the abilities, maybe even easy catch. Because I'm betting it'll still be stupid impossible even with all that.

So my ashlocke is going good but I don't really have an answer for pawmont, I currently have torrterra, goodra, primape, and sirfectch. Those are for sure.
