Im always happy with new PB's my son wont be happy until he has hit 100mph 😂 Mavic mini only does 20mph to to slow, might get the air 2 which is faster, also need to learn to fly a bit better, been trying to get good shots of the Typhon tracking with the Drone - its hard 😂

@@HardcoreRC your welcome Iam use a max6 with mamba monster X 2200kv with a 29tooth pinion gear and a 46tooth spur gear in my kyosho aka speed demon I got 78.8mph

@@HardcoreRC I think I might of messed up. I just ordered a tp 4050 3050kv plus MM 8s esc. Just because I knew it would fit. Is my kv too high? Or will this be a good motor? Not looking for any speed tips. Just dont want to blow my motor or MM 8s esc. Any guidance would be awesome.

Sorry i really dont know much about the TP motors or the MM8 currently - its an area i do need to start looking at if we want to go faster. I would suggest joining one of the Facebook speed run groups: RC SPEED RUNS 100 MPH+ FAMILY or ARRMA LIMITLESS INFRACTION RC SPEED CREW

Nice runs chaps 👍 Wow that just looked so fast! BTW (you prob know this, but just in case) you can change the sensitivity of the GPS (via the app) to increase the frequency of measurements - might give you more accurate data on the fly (the trade off is it reduces the recording time).

Thanks - have it set to the max refresh rate, not sure why the data pulled when home is slightly faster than the read out on site. My 14 year old son is the driver - im the sponsor 😂😂👍

Can you get a bigger pinion gear? Watch the temps but you may be able to gain some speed that way.

@@Phil_4young we are really at the limit of the ESC and Motor - going up higher and the ESC just shuts down. With a good run it will do 100mph with this set up, its just getting that good run 😂😂😂😂 if we can find a better road then will invest in Castle ESC and TP motor

Congrats on the run. You may consider getting the GSM020 instead. It seems to be more accurate and won’t require you to take the top off to read the speed. 👍🏻

Very nice video! Do you know if the ESC cuts power like the old version? I want to know because I think it's crucial for speedrunning when you pull a lot of power. because I can't decide between the mmx8s and the max 8g2 the mmx8s don't cut the power....

Hello from malaysia,i would like to ask since u're using hw max8,did the esc have cut off during full throthle,mine max10 and its cut the power,thinking of upgrade to max8 buat worried it's cut the power when full throthle

Hi, all the Hobbywing ESC have a cut off to protect them when getting stressed or they would burst into flames, stressed would be when pushing it to its limits, so depending on what car you are using the Max8 would likely not cut out as its capable of handling more power than a max10

@@muhammadfaris885 Max8 with 2200kv mtor should be more than enough for the Vorteks, but that will depend on how fast you want to go. But that system on 6s should see you past 100mph

remove the 2 front cowlings and cut the rear spoiler to flat and you'll gain 3 - 4 mph

Thanks - we had trimmed both down, will now look to remove the front, need to get the suspension set a bit better as well as its bottoming out and also dont want to flip which we have seen when they hit 100 mph

If you take off the cowling and cut to much up on that rear wing you will have an airplane. Look at some of the other KZbin videos of limitless going airborne and look real close at the car. They all have 1 thing common. Y'all can get there without chopping it up, I believe in you.
