Where do you think they got their audience that bought all the shirts that gave them money to survive till the insurance came through. The insurance payout was for their CARS, they were not the landlords so they don't get insurance money on the property which would have been alot of money. Its their money, they paid the insuranc, the insurance paid them out their claims. They're free to do whatever the fuck with their payout money. Also its a job, they get paid from posting to KZbin and it promotes their brand. You don't have to do KZbin 110% for it to be part of your job. Old mate can't just go oh I don't feel like not going into work and making a video about DriftGames cause my hobby isn't feeling like it did before the fire. Bruh your mic was never plugged in. 🤡

As an architect i know the fun of going through planning, design, and construction. I dont blame you for wanting to avoid that process. Buying a place would be the ideal and your team should send it. Worst case scenario you should consider what leasing out part of the space (sublet to help subsidize initial costs and grow into the space over the course of a few years) or the whole space in the worst case scenario, its better to be a landlord than bankrupt.

I'm stoked for ya'll, all I can say about this is back when I was your age I had these same dreams, raced, had truck repair shop, machine shop did HVAV and was always on the move. But I never had the balls or partners to make the jump to own a big shop. I have no regrets following the more domesticated path. But I think about it all the time. What if? What I will say from experience as a business mrg is, someone is going to have to step back and become the guy that keeps all the balls in the air so all the boring stuff stays on the tracks, while you are all doing what you do. Kind of the Adult in the room so to speak, a business manager. You being the face and voice of the channel??? I do think with all the partners and contacts you made it may have a fighting chance. Crazy to hear what the timelines would look like in Ireland, where I live in American I could buy a undeveloped plot and build a building with power and water within a few months, probably would be closer around 6 months before the inside is 100%, but still hearing it could take years is crazy

In the UK Ireland and most of Europe regulations kill that massively. Like yeah you could buy land but then you have to apply for planning which the council take ridiculously long on then you have to build the actual thing and get planning for everything your doing (the original planning permission isn't enough you MUST get planning for every individual thing that you do) then once you've built it and got everything done you gotta pay taxes which is A LOT. Even buying or selling a house is a faff here I'm in the process of selling my house and they need all the documents and building regs for every change to the house all the way back to the 2000s before we bought the house. @Afraz_9n3 Yeah, in the US we have to get plans approved beforehand and several inspections at different times throughout the build, but that's basically it. Of course there are some benefits to having more regulations, most houses are complete shit in the US, but it mostly just seems like an annoyance

@@benthebuilder6934 tbf "cowboy builders" are a thing in the UK even with all the regulations so regulations don't necessarily fix the problem of bad buildings. However it does minimise that chance of it happening but on the downside gives a lot more red tape to go through unfortunately

We as a community are behind you guys 100%. To be honest, you guys should also look into opening up a difting school, build customer dift cars, and/or other business ideas. This will show any mortgage company you go to a more stable business strategy. I don't know if Ireland has any small business grant programs you can apply for. That would be another option you can look into.

Got to go for it, a Workshop build series could be a good side line series. You could pull in another demographic of viewers who might stay and get into what you've done in the past and in the future. You've probably considered it but a build series could also be way to bring in alternative sponsors / partners or even other content creators to help with transforming the building. Might be a way to offset some costs.
