It's just like saying "I beat my first extreme" and then it's "I wanna be the guy" like sure it's hard but by no means is your completion equally impressive as beating an actual extreme demon

The hardest Platformer can’t have many checkpoints or maybe none. A checkpoint basically splits the level into different parts which are not as hard as the level would be without the checkpoint. Edit: Maybe if you add backtracking add a mechanic and add randomised puzzle elements, you could use checkpoints as an obstacle or setback and make platformer levels very more like Getting Over It.
