I always worry about someone like you (a super fast rider) coming at me from the opposite direction on Evart. Gives me chills just thinking of being rammed at that kind of speed. I hope there are people ahead of you who could warn ordinary riders like me of the impending danger :) lol
@BeRAD3 жыл бұрын
I don’t ride this fast on most of the blind sections. Plenty of visibility to stop in time even if someone my pace was coming opposite way. Gotta look ahead! My finger never leaves the front brake! Obviously there are a few areas that were a little risky but we chatted with the others riding that day and had a good idea on where they’d be. Most if not all were going the same direction. Sometimes I had people in front of me, yes. But this all boils down to reason I don’t like riding the trail systems much. It’s all way to wide and fast to have fun on without getting dangerous. I honestly have more fun riding in my yard now with a few obstacles and a mile or two of trail over and over. No risk of head ons!

Welp, I'm 7 months late to the party here, but how one Earth did you manage to do this trail this fast and not head-on with anyone? Was the trail closed? Is it a one way? I ask because every time I try to ride even 2% as fast as this, I crash into a 4wheeler that shouldn't even be there and the guy on the 4wheeler blames me for going too fast every time even when I'm going less than 15mph.
@BeRAD3 жыл бұрын
It’s 2 way. A combination of talking with others at the staging area and knowing who’s going what way (usually we agree on a direction). Also just looking ahead. As you can tell in the video there plenty of line of site for the most part. And in that sand I can stop very quickly. Anytime I’ve had any “close calls” I was already stopped and/or off the trail before the person even touched their own brakes haha. There are a few sections that visibility sucks…yeah, dumb to go that speed through there but as far as we knew everyone else was either going the same way or we had already bypassed them. This is a reason why I’ve only ridden the public trails 2 or 3 times in the last couple years. I’d rather ride slower technical stuff anyway!
