HARDEST LINE I HAVE EVER RIDDEN!

I have wanted to do a top to bottom run of all my hardest tracks at BikePark Wales. However, every time I go the weather is not on my side and I struggle to clear jumps. This time round we were lucky and the ground was a lot drier which meant that the extra bit of speed I needed was there.
I have ridden quite a few different trails at BikePark Wales but the hardest ones I can do are AD/DC, Coal not Dole and Zut Alors which are all black level tracks. So in the video I take your for a top to bottom run riding all these tracks.

I've only been riding for 2 years. Been watching your progress since that time. I'm only 57 years of age. But watching your vids makes me think that I might be able to progress further within to mtb World. I think this is your best video yet. Inspirational. Well done.

New sub =) saw Toms video yesterday and was really impressed! I'm new to MTB. I had an accident (not MTB, just riding to work) 7ish years ago I lost 2 teeth, fractured both wrists and ended up with lots of stitches. I said I'd never get on a bike again but about 2 months ago I started MTB. I've been really challenging myself, every day I'm on the bike even if its just at a pump track or car park practising something. I've worked up to the red trail at Thetford which I'm really proud of even though every 'real MTBer' says its an easy red. I love how honest and open you are about expressing your fear because I get really scared with every new thing, to begin with I was even scared to ride in a straight line on tarmac lol. Seeing you ride those trails and jumps helps me believe if I keep taking little steps as I have been then I can do it too =D

Sounds like you are fairly local, have you been to Phoenix or Twisted yet? You've got some real fun stuff to discover if not 😀 Thetford red grading is a little exaggerated but it's still bloody hard enough when you have just started, so yes, be proud of it.

@@cmouse_2 I'm in Norwich so Twisted Oaks and Pheonix are definitely in my sights but haven't been brave enough for them yet! There aren't that many jumps at Thetford and the ones that are there look like baby ones compared to what I've seen in videos of the bike parks so I'm working on getting better at taking off on them before I tackle anything bigger =)

@@hannahjm93 There are lots to learn on at both (including jumps aimed at beginners) and you'll find plenty of friendly faces who will point out the good stuff. No bravery required, I've met so many lovely people there who all have a love of bikes in common and have had nothing but encouragement from pretty much all of them.

Thetford is great for some more XC style. Twisted is definitely highly recommended. Not been on my bike in months and months so will be getting myself to Twisted very soon to get back into it

@@cmouse_2 Do you know how Twisted Oaks and Pheonix cope with the rain? How fast they dry out? I've learnt with Thetford that it dries out really quick so even if it pours down Friday you can still go Saturday and apart from the odd muddy bit its mostly pretty dry.

Your riding has come a long way over the years and seeing you hitting those gaps is so impressive Kara! 😎My only suggestions would be to get some coaching on cornering. It's transform your riding when you get you bike/body position perfected. And finally upgrade your fork damper! You'll thank me for that one 🙂

A ‘plus’ denotes that the trail has some bike park / freeride features to play with; not necessarily that it’s harder than its technical grade. The in between grades have a colour flash on the trail difficulty index. At least that’s my understanding.

Absolutely flying Kara, that's the best I have seen you ride. Coffee and cake well deserved for both you and Tom. You really were fast in the techy bits. I would struggle to keep up with you. Great effort. I want to know is tired Kara really super powers Kara in disguise?
