HARDEST Mate in 2 Chess Puzzle! Is this Checkmate Possible in Two Moves? White to Play

This is one of the hardest and trickiest mate in 2 chess puzzle. To solve this puzzle, you should have the knowledge of waiting move, zugzwang and endgame tactics. This puzzle can be easily solved by anyone in 3 or more moves. But it takes real brilliancy like GM Hikaru to be able to solve this puzzle in just two moves. So do you have what it takes? No White King move will work Because then Black moves Kf7 if White then moves Rh8 then White Knight takes Kxh8 . If White moves Ra8 then Black runs away Ke7. White is dead in any case but the challenge is the 2 move mate

You can also just move the white king back to c2 or e2. If black then moves his king to either C1 or E1, then the rook that's closest to the king can move down for mate. If instead, black moves the knight anywhere, the next rook move by White can mate. thus, there exists a second solution.

There is no Mate in 1 after Knight to F7 as the Knight now controls the H8 square so the Rook can't go there anymore and if you check with the other Rook the King can now enter the 7. Rank because the Knight is blocking.

It was obvious that you have to make a waiting move. And if some one looks carefully at the white king then then you must have noticed that of he makes any move then the horsey forcing a delay on the checkmate.

Actually, Kc2 and Ke2 will work as waiting moves. And I think those moves are prettier Rg7
