the aiming feature in the fluent addon makes me interesting, i feel like i miss this in boxcutter, sad you dont covered it up, but i think fluent is the game changer become more handy, thanks sir

I have both and although before buying them I felt like fluent would have been alot more intuitive from the documentation/videos, I ended up prefering hopscutter and found it easier to understand and work with. I also found that fluent ran a lot more slowly than hopscutter for some reason.

Fair & balanced video. I also have them both. Both developers have tangible passion for their products, and are both quick to provide personal feedback and support

Hard-Ops has a discord as well. Also a Facebook Group. Also Ponte has a Facebook group. Id say the Hops Community is rather large.

I have them both and i prefer fluent..its faster to mirror and do array and cut with the grid system..but i'm new to hopscutter so i can't say much beyond this.

@@thelastdev how about speedflow?

Speedflow is also great, and extremely capable, and also developed and supported with passion. I personally found it hard to grasp, but admittedly didn’t push on with the very detailed tutorials provided by the developer. Perhaps I need to revisit those.

I don’t like the way Fluent restricts you on manipulating what happens on the modifier stack.. also I could not figure out how to successfully export meshes after editing them with fluent

Hey man, great video comparison. I have a question if you dont mind. In fluent, after i make any wires or pipes i have to always go to the modifiers menu and apply them all one at a time. Is there a way to short cut that, like just an apply all buttom?
@thelastdev2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, you can press “f” bring up the fluent menu and select “auto compile” that applys all feats at once

Another comment: The YT Tut by the Fluent dev is thorough, but his (French?) accent is so heavy, he's very hard to understand, at least for me. Justin at *CG Essentials* does a nice overview, but not really a tutorial.

how does this fit into 3d gaming I thought you had to have better or different types of squares topology etc. lol don't let my name 3d guy give you the wrong idea I don't know that much
@thelastdev Жыл бұрын
So this video is more so to help highlight key feature of both boolean add on for blender. But to answer your question yes topology matters, so if you get either one of these tools, knowing proper topology will help , especially when it comes to texturing your models

@Blender Binge , Hi, What do you think about Rantools & P-Cutter (new addon)?
@thelastdev3 жыл бұрын
Randtools P-Cutter is fine tested it out the other day! In all honesty I wouldn't recommend it. It's okay but not really the best lol I really only find use in the modifier preset tool which allows you to create presets of modifiers, and using the custom backdrop import and modifiers. It's cool for a bunch of random tools in one but me personally prefer boxcutter or fluent.
@jhonrincon72803 жыл бұрын
@@thelastdev I have heard that Fluent responds slower than Box Cutter, is it true? I could not see that Fluent can change the segments of it in the cylinders, is it true? It is that I seriously saw interesting options in Rantools such as the change of the camera options and the change from boolean operation subtract to union (all interactive), what do you think about it?
