I think newt was the one that the put the Kaiju brain inside of obsidian because why would shaoling industry make a Jaeger that is made for destroying city's remember in the movie newt sabotage the Jaeger drones so newt was the one that put the kaiju brain inside shaoling industrys made obsidian for protection but newt put the Kaiju brain inside instead
