Still the best years of hardstyle (2007-2012), melodic and not the same type of kicks as nowadays. Émotions in songs of this area are crazy, they fall me in love with Hardstyle !

Id say kicks are fine, but they just put the melody on the second lane and dont care too much, meaning, tracks began the same kinda way, but comes the melody sweet as ever in many cases but then u wont get drums melody collide, nope, FCK YOU, djs producers say, we need more kicks, so we get that, kicks and more kicks, then maybe if they feel like it give us a hint of the melody and over. HATE IT SOOO MUCH. But must admit i love the kicks now and before, i love distorted or deep hard ones, with catchy melodies, fantastic. Kick only without anything, are silly and pointless.

Started listening to techno in 2000 and the same thing was said about your gener. It repeats itself. Every new generation has a new style that they love and the old heads dislike. I enjoy the new and old it's good to expand and explore different sounds.

Without a doubt one of the best hardstyle mixes. Even though the golden era was not of hardstyle it was 91-97 and it was called HARDCORE TECHNO. same kick ass music just only differance was there was actual DJ's. not the computer techs of today. they mixed and spun records(vinyl). That took music talent. It was an artform. Amazing artform. But i love todays hardstyle also.
