Hardtop seal

Harder than I thought it would be!

I wished they made hard tops back in the 1990's when they came out I had a 1992 Tracker & no dealer had them then & a few after markets came out in 2000.

Well to tell you the truth. The hard tops and back windows are a little wonky. I had a heck of a time putting seals around the back widow that lifts up because it is not even on both sides and the window does not have the same bend and the tailgate. You see what I mean if you watch that video.

What kind of hard top do you have? I am in the market for one.

This is a factory one. There are after market ones. Morris Hard Top Center sells one called Extreme Tops. Two piece hard top. It’s $1300 with $500 for shipping. Rally Tops is another one located in Los Angeles and are made in the USA. Our back window, as you saw on the video, is really wonky, and oddly curved, so it was really hard to seal. I had to add an additional seal at the top between the hinges because it still leaked. That did fix the problem. We are considering a soft top which would cost us about the same as a new hard top because we need all the hardware for it as well.
