Love love love you!!! I am an old sewer and learned on a treadle playing around with scraps at the age of 5. I sewed all 5 of my children's clothes, have done semi-professional costuming, upholstery, bags, craft fair items, etc and I still learn from every tutorial and video you make! Thanks for sharing in such a fun way!

After watching this video, I had to just sit and think a few moments. Tock Custom has mentioned you on his KZbin channel. Never got around to looking for you. But KZbin recommended a video a few days ago, so I have been looking at a few of your videos. I gotta say that your videos are so enjoyable. I'm at the hardware obsession stage. So much I have learned and a lot I want to do many more times. By the way, since you are also a fan of pink, there's a company that sells a pink press and dies. I have not bought mine yet, but the moment I saw it, I was screaming (just on the inside) mine, mine, MINE!

@@fiercekittenz cool! My IG is hgockel. I just watched your blue calla clematis tutorial and got the pattern to try. I’m playing with printing maps, heat pressing pellon vinyl and sewing into bags. Would love your thoughts on this! I think sublimation printing maps wouldn’t cut it very well. I think maybe I should just do feature panels on bags rather than the whole thing.

Thank you for this VERY INFORMATIVE video. What size(s) of rivets do you recommend using as in the NCWallet or for straps to bag to secure? So that when I look at purch a press I will also get the needed dies. Thanks again

I use 9mm rivets. If I use smaller, they tend to pick loose as I can't quite make a small enough hole for them.

Nice video. Do you have an opinion on the Kam version vs. the Gold Star Press? I went back & forth between those because they both seem to have lots of die options and support. I'm now waiting for the Kam version. Thanks so much for sharing!!
@fiercekittenz2 жыл бұрын
So I have a Gold Star Press, but I will warn anyone who asks about the company as a whole: the owner is extremely racist and misogynistic. His business ethics are non-existent. I would not give him my money again, sadly. I'm glad to hear you settled on the Kam.
@carilynjurgeson61782 жыл бұрын
@@fiercekittenz I'm glad I purchased the Kam now. I also considered buying my Juki from there because I live in LA area, but got it from Sewing Machines Plus. Gold Star had low price, but chg. xtra for assembly when it is supposed to come assembled. I think they substitute a different brand of table to make more profit. I didn't want a table with Juki's competitor's name on it.

Hi love your videos there great for beginner bag makers! I’m making bags for a craft show but it seems as if the magnetic snaps I’ve ordered of Amazon are particularly strong I mean like super strong which is great but i can’t sell them if know one can open the bag ! It's good! I prefer heavier duty stuff for larger bags. For smaller bags it does very well. I've used them for years. You can also purchase through Aliexpress. It takes a few weeks to get the goods, but it's a lot cheaper than going to a hardware supplier for larger quantities.

In regard to the metal tags: I just had a conversation with Mr. Bruce from Guangzhou Topwin , and he offered 100 tags similar to yours for $70.00 dlls. which is a great price, but he wanted to charge $184.00 dlls. for shipping and handling, which I think it is excessive. I just wanted to share.
@fiercekittenz3 жыл бұрын
Oh wow that doesn't seem right. Seems more like $70 for the mold and $184 for everything else. He probably mixed up his terminology. You do get cheaper pricing if you order larger quantities I'd honestly recommend 200 at least. You will blow through 100 faster than you think!

If a bag takes more than 2 hours to make, plus the cost of the materials, how can you make a profit if you're selling them on Etsy or your own website? Do you give free shipping or do you charge for it?
@fiercekittenz2 жыл бұрын
For me, I can easily make most of my top sellers in under 2 hours. I also buy materials in bulk, so over time, the cost is a lot less per bag. Selling the patterns and other digital goods helps fund the website. I do absolutely charge for shipping!

I start a conversation with the store owner first. So from the link I provided, make an account with Alibaba, then send a message to the store owner and let them know you want custom, metal bag tags with the preferred size, finish (brass, rose gold, gunmetal, chrome, or rainbow), and how many you want in each. Bruce will get back to you and ask you for an image of your logo for the tags and get you a quote.

Also, word of advice on Alibaba: STAY ON ALIBABA. A lot of owners will try to get you to use email, Whatsapp, or Facebook messaging to communicate and pay. Only use Alibaba if you can please. It's for your safety.

You could have just kept that thought to yourself, but instead of being a Debbie Durham, you're being a Debbie Downer. Sometimes I wonder what's broken in people who choose to respond like this to others on the Internet. Did you not get your daily Metamucil shake? Maybe you have some constipation and want to take it out on me with some verbal diarrhea? I'll make sure to say "ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh" longer, harder, and more sensual on the next video as inspiration for your daily dump.
