Max can you do the Hardy xo rare review ? I heard it’s another great one based on what l have read. The Hine rare vsop is one of my favorites though at moment

Holy Shittttt!!!! You mentioning Jas from Tonights Poison, who also just recently did an hour segment with Peter Bhakta from Bhakta Brandy. Amazing the work you were putting it 3-4 years ago that brings modern light to this now "old video"

Just picked up this 1863. Your review was spot on. It definitely has a very unique taste for a cognac. I get a hint of marshmallows as well. I enjoy it but I almost find it a little too sweet at times. Hardy is a quality Cognac house for sure. I love their XO.

A great review. My usual drum is scotch so this cognac should be a great fit. Maison Rouge VSOP, that is the private label by Hardy, is also an excellent, good value cognac.

Christian Ivanov this is a great sipper and hard to beat at its price point. I don’t realize Madison Rouge was Hardy PR. I will have to pick up a bottle and try them. Do they do an XO?

@@MaxsCognacReview No, they don't. Maison Rouge is only a VSOP edition. 4-5 years of maturation.

Hey Jay! how's it hanging? You can not go wrong with the Kirkland XO, but I am not going to lie, I am hooked on this 1863. If you like scotch you have to give it a try. It is truly unique for a cognac. Let me know what you think if you end up picking one up. Cheers

Hi, Max and greetings from Romania! Congratulations for the quality content and usefull insights you present on your channel. The review was spot on, just bought it and went through a similar experience. Definitely a good step up from Hardy VSOP which was good as well, but very different and not so complex. I was wondering if you tasted Hardy XO rare, and how does it stack up in terms of value for money. After legend 1863 i want to aim higher and try their xo, i known they have another xo bottled similar to the vsop, but i found the more expensive "rare xo" in an online store for around 90 us dollars. Alin Grecu thanks for checking out the review! I truly appreciate the kind words. Hardy is definitely one of my favorite underrated lesser known houses. In general, they leave there Cognacs to age well past minimum requirements. The XO is a phenomenal value for the money and is definitely well up there with if not better than Hennessy and Remy XO for almost half the price. I would absolutely jump on that XO rare for $90. You truly can’t beat it at its price point! Please let me know what you think when you give it a try! Cheers

The store i buy my cognacs from has a bottle called xo exception, who seems to be produced in limited edition, 500 botles. Cheers! PS: i checked all your reviews! :D

I have not had the pleasure of trying Chabasse. It is hard to find smaller houses here in the states. I typically have to order from EU of its not one of the big four. I will keep an eye out for it! Thanks for the recommendation! 🥂
