For anyone commenting on how this sounds vs the version on TV..when broadcasting performances like this one, the "mix" people are hearing in the stadium is completely different than the mix that is being fed to TV for broadcast purposes. He probably had some vocal effects on the live mix and also had that natural stadium reverb/reflection live in person that just didn't translate to the TV broadcast. I feel like 90 percent of the performances WWE has had on tv sound awful hahaha.

I think people are being a bit extra with this lmao. Hardy is extremely accomplished in the writing area and overall his live performances aren’t bad at all. To debunk the auto tune myth all there was was back tracks and probably the standard pitch correction that is used on 99% of all live performances. It looks like the mixing team for the broadcast failed miserably in making this sound good on TV but clearly here it sounds better on a phone which does not record the best for live music. Lyrical content aside someone within the event planning pitched the song and it was accepted, there were no surprises in that regard. It’s country rock, it’s not like it’s the most twangy country thing around lmao. Hardy is getting way too much shit for a good performance.
