Hardy Zephrus vs Zenith Fly Rod Review

Hello,what is your oppinion on Zenith 8,6" 5WT, have a chance to buy it,its not a nine",so i am not soo sure???

Aljoša...bought the rod this spring and fished with it few times...it is awsome.And yes i did not recive any answer.But i contacted Juan Hopper and he adwised me the lenght of the Hardy Zenith (8,6" 5wt) You can fly fish with the rod with all the fly assortiment (streamers,nimphing and what i like (dry flyes)The rod is worth all the money,and will try to buy also an zephrus 4wt 8,6",should be also nice.

@@saabvanderlinden9214 Hello Saab Yes i bought the Zephrus 4wt 8,6 feet,have to say i did not have a chance to try it,but in the near by future i will....for sure. The line i combined with it is the Amplitude Infinity smooth in 4WF-hope it will be ok(the virus stoped my delivery for a time).I watched the yellowstone rewiev,and they recomend this line..The MPX Scientific Anglers in 5WF i use on my 5wt 8,6 Zenith,and it is very good.(and it is cheaper,just needs more care.....cleaning and greasing(TIEMCO FLY LINE CONDITIONER)-very smooth. Have to try it,and latter i can answer you. Kind regards Vanč

hi! thanks for your great reviews! Would you recommend the zephrus #5 8'6" or the zenith #5 9' for fishing streamers in medium sized rivers? (also with a sink tip line)...thanks!

It's going to be a trade off. The 9' rod will definitely be a little better for a sink tip, but the 8'6" is little lighter, softer and more fun overall.
