There's a magical mystery tour happening with a Krishna Conscious flavour! Over 100 devotees are descending on the city of Liverpool in honour of the late Beatle George Harrison.
Saturday 25th February 2023 would have been George's 80th birthday, so the city of his birth have selected this day to honour his life.
Devotees will organise Hari Namas , the distribution of thousands of cookies and mantra meditation workshops will take place in the Beatles Museums.
George was a sincere spiritual seeker, so when he met the devotees in the late '60s he quickly befriended them. He produced the famous Radha Krishna Temple album,
paid for the printing of the Krishna Book and included Krishna conscious philosophy in his songs.
Exactly 50 years ago, in 1973, George kindly donated Bhaktivedanta Manor to Srila Prabhupada's movement.
As George was an avid gardner, devotees have dedicated a beautiful secton of land called the George Harrison Garden. And every year, on the day of his passing,
Bhaktivedanta Manor hosts the George Harrison evening. An event of memory, music, song and appreciation.
George's legacy of sincere spirituality, lives on.
