the Musashi and Yamato was designed to face other battleships and other ships. They weren't design to face aerial bombers and torpedo bombers, thats why they both sunk fast

@@TM-vg7xm Except those other nation's ships didn't have the "Achilles Heel" of the rivet point zone behind the central tower the way the Yamato Class did. It was when the torpedos hit there that the Musashi died.

After the defeat of those two Super Dreadnought Battleships the survivng Imperial Japanese Battleships were refitted for AA tasks, with the Fuso and Yamashiro being converted into a hybrid Battleship-Carrier and the Nagato getting stripped of the Main Guns in favor of large numbers of AA Guns.

honestly, Navel warfare using Cannons would average about a 85-90% miss rate, just due to things like the pitch and swell of the ocean... the fact they were missing so much is about the One thing this anime got right about WW2 ship to ship combat....

And musashi has been shooting ammunition for training all the time because Musashi’s Captain Group on the bridge were not infected and didn’t put the key in the box Yokosuka School fleet has only 16 years old students study for 3 years.When students graduated, school recruiting new students. Unless you know where to aim at them, WW2 ships were designed for the actual close range gun battle and could absorb obscenely high levels of damage before sinking. Comparatively, a modern Zumwalt class destroyer or an Arleigh Burke destroyer is an aluminum can in terms of durability.
