Un liutaio di Cosenza che ha lavorato dai De Bonis mi ha detto che uno dei fratelli era morto... comunque scusa per la gaff. Sei bravissimo alla chitarra battente, continua a mantenere vivo il grande patrimonio che abbiamo al sud.

Puo' costare sacco di soldi,dato che sono quasi tutti prodotti di liuteria artigianale.I fretelli De Bonis(ora è rimasto vivo soltanto 1dei2)di Bisignano CS,sono consideraati tra i migliori in assoluto nella produzione di chitarre battenti-le loro chitarre battenti sono come degli stradivari,ma è molto difficile otterne una fatta da loro,c'era gente che veniva apposta dagli Stati Uniti costretta a ritornare a casa a bocca asciutta.Purtroppo la loro arte sta scomparendo,sono stati sempre burberi.

I always wondered why it was called "beaten guitar" (because I thought it was just plucked or strummed) and now I think I understand why! Was it played this way (hitting the wood with the fingers while playing) going back to the time of the Medicis in the 16th century?
