It took me a while, but I managed to scramble it so that each and every single piece was separated. From that scramble it was indeed a bit tricky to solve it, though not terribly difficult. In order to solve that situation you had there, all you had to do was 2R, 2U, 2D, 2R, 2U, 2D. Also, I think the booklet shows you ways that it's possible to scramble it.

Try the skewby copter plus. It's pretty intuitive if you know how to solve a curvy copter and a skewb extreme.

I don't know... I didn't see anything from the Video and I don't have the other one... Well the Meffert's one has drak blue instead of purple and purple instead of pink... that's pretty much it...

It was so easy because your puzzle wasn't very scrambled. I first only sort of scrambled mine like yours and I was able to solve it be just playing around. Later, I managed to fully scramble mine and it was far more difficult to solve.
