Lucid pravachanam by Dushyanth with lots of interesting anecdotes, pleasing music of the sisters [blessed with honey-soaked, perfectly shruthi aligned voice], excellent mrudangam accompaniment - all these made this programme a memorable treat. Violin did not make a mark for two reasons [1] Could not match the voice of the singers [2] mike volume was too low that it was inaudible mostly. The songs, though not popular were excellent. Who composed these songs?

A very beautiful rendition of music by Anahita-Apoorva sisters and the prose by Sri. Dushyanth Sridharji. Thank you for such a wonderful narration about the Supreme Guru Pujya Sri Kanchi mahAperiyavA. However, Sri. Dushyanth observed there are no purAnic references about the "Syamantaka upAkyAnam", especially about the incident where bhagavAn shri. krishnA prays to shri. ganashA. The particular incident may not be in the shrimad bhAgavata purAna. However, the same story about Syamantaka repeats in skAnda purAna, as a dialogue between shri. nandikeshwarA and shri. sanatkumAra. This story is typically found in the pUjA vidhAnam book we use at our homes that have all the devatA pUjAs. My 2 cents...
