I have been a fan of this team since I saw their Bruin Bhangra 2009 performance on this channel. Always felt they were underrated. Though I have seen cleaner performances from them, this too was not that far and the choreography was really good. They certainly deserved the place. Well done guys!!

Still remember their performance at BB'09 where they placed second, what an improvement over these years! They definitely nailed it and some of the sequences just killed ;) :D. Beautifully choreographed. Just loved it!! Every time you watch it you love it more and more. Being a bhangra lover can watch it again and again. Well deserved first place performance.

this is a problem with plastic saaps ( white) most teams are using these days. they are lighter than the traditional wooden ones but at the risk of getting stuck mid segment.

They are not broken if they get stuck; it is as easy as just closing the saap back together. A 2-3 second fix is all it takes.

It should have been 1. BASS 2. FCB 3. DRP or KPGD. This set was much better than Empire's but not a winning one. Please leave Garba songs in a Raas competition.

The placing was not dependent on the use of a bollywood song. I simply felt KPGD did a much better job than Empire. DRP/KPGD tie for 3rd place for me is dependent on other factors in the scoring that decided the final place so i would have been happy with either of them placing 3rd

Interesting...what you're saying doesn't make much sense. KPGD used multiple Bollywood songs at unnecessary times that did not flow in the set at all. If you think that the Bollywood songs did fit the set, I pity you. DRP, on the other hand, used one "raas" song which was completely relevant to that Dhol gimmick and fit in perfectly; yet, you bash on them for using a Raas song. Completely ironic in my humble opinion. Am I a big fan of teams using non-bhangra songs in sets? No, not at all. However, if it is well-placed and minimum, I, and I'm sure most of the audience, have no problem with at all.

I'll be honest - I watched this performance live, and did not think you guys should have even placed, let alone first. This is pretty much as far away from Bhangra as you can get. It is evident that you folks have tried to cover what you lack dancing wise with gimmicks, all of which have nothing to do AT ALL with the culture, dance or even the nature of the competition. I can appreciate the creativity and the hard work, but please note this is a cultural performance, not a road show. The pinnacle of this team was during the 2012 - 2014 seasons, not to mention the glory days of 2008. I would recommend learning the tradition of this team from those years and carrying forward the legacy accordingly, while maintaining respect for the culture and art form.

I agree with what your saying the gimmick elements of the performance, it really took away from the bhangra element of the set. And I felt like the music selection was very weak, I honestly got bored watching the video and hence am typing this comment. Watching DRP before was very different from now, this team had way to many non bhangra elements and when they did do "bhangra" the gimmicks took away from that

I'll be honest - I read your comment and do not think you have any knowledge whatsoever of the circuit. DRP did a good job balancing folk and Western fusion while incorporating lots of risks that obviously the judges enjoyed. The number of gimmicks used was minimal; there were no magic gimmicks or people flying on rings, all of these "gimmicks" involved dancing bhangra and executing pretty difficult stunts in my opinion. The circuit is always evolving; I can guarantee that no set from 2008 would place nowadays, especially at a competition such as Bruin that clearly wants entertainment. It's clear that you had an unconscious bias when analyzing DRP's performance and that you have no clue what you're talking about.
