Thank you for normalising sensory needs for adults and having a compassionate and honest video which has practical strategies that aren't condescending or make you feel like there's something to "fix" - I watched this video without feeling infantilised or shame and it was very empowering! I am pretty sensory literate and yet I still learnt SO much about myself and the sensory system so thank you so much - every adult should watch this - imagine how calm and regulated everyone would be if they had a sensory diet or at least an awareness of their sensory needs!

Thank you so much for these videos, usually you'd almost never connect two dots by yourself and see what's exactly making you uncomfortable and what's giving a relief, so your videos do help a lot. May you both have a nice day!

I am a 100% sensory seeker. The only problem is, being that I’m totally blind, and I have no sense of smell as well, unfortunately, I can’t use my sense of sight, nor sense of smell is a way of calming down. However, I love to touch, certain textures, I like a lot of movement, I also love music. I have music on pretty much all day. I have a sensory space downstairs that I probably should utilize more. I’m really big into mindfulness and meditation. I do my best to go out first thing in the morning. I have a certain song that I listen to while I’m outside, and I drink a hot beverage along with the song, sometimes eat breakfast with it as well. I love the texture of the sensory brushes. But I sometimes wonder, being that I’m a sensory seeker, would these be OK for me to use?

It's all very individualized to your personal sensory needs! It's great to expand your sensory toolbox but it does take trial and error. If you try a strategy and it doesn't help you feel better, then it's not for you but sometimes you won't know until you try!
