I really wanted to watch this game, with the volume cranked up as usual, but the commentary was so relentlessly irritating I switched over to the Saracens Sale game. Thank goodness this wasn't the only televised game on Saturday afternoon. And no - it's not because it was a woman commentator, but because the tone and phrasing was so obviously unnatural and incessantly forced, with seemingly every other line littered with exaggerated emphasis. And the words never stopped coming - as if TNT pay by the word.

You say that, but even the female commentator on the golf is like this, and there is no need to shout at the golf!! (Apart from Ryder Cup). Maybe they feel they need to shout over the men or something, but it is rather annoying when you finally get to sit down on your day off and have to put up with this! 🤦 😂

Sorry but the commentary was overbearing and full of pre planned comments and long words from a thesaurus. I initially liked her narrative but then it just became a series of annoying noise, cliches and wiki wisdom

@@FJM992Thanks mate. I have absolutely no issue with women, I absolutely welcome inclusivity in the game. I enjoy listening to Sara, Sonia and gabby, albeit they don’t commentate. The problem I have, this commentator is so obviously out of her depth she uses worn out platitudes to cover up her lack of knowledge. Her commentary makes the game unwatchable.
