Great review! I want one of those MR guitars but cannot decide between the two, the classic to my ears has more of an edge in sound but it does not have the tremolo that I want. The modern has the tremolo but at time sounded thin to me. I want one that is closest to The Ventures Mosrite for that surf rock play. Which one did you keep and like more? Thank you!

P90s sounded better on low gain sections, humbucker sounded better with gain. I didn’t particularly care for either pickup. TV Jones and DiMarzio make interesting things that would fit

I have just bought the classic so I can mess around with P90's ...which sound both at same time more fussed out and with a little bit more clear in the middle tones and less like a strat on the single bridge pick up...the modern one is lacking in warmth...sounds a bit tinny?

I would rather have the hard tail with a trem . unfortunately that is not an option. For P 90 sound reasons only. Humbucker with trem is also a great option that is not common. Other wise blue is more versatile and those are locking tuners on blue. Alder body.

Are the soap bar humbuckers the same size like soap bar P90s? So i could swap the humbuckers for a good pair of P90s. Then i would buy a MR-Modern in a second. Greets from Bavaria Germany 🇩🇪

The classic obviously. A bit pointless buying another humbucker guitar in a different body shape looses the soul of the original that were trying to create

I get what you are saying but don't forget that Mosrite used their own wound and designed pickups. They looked like P90s but didnt really sound like them. You are absolutely closer but if I were truly going for a Mosrite sound they probably should have tries alnico 2 or 3 magnets with a slightly higher impedance

@@BigRalphN All I know is the guitar has a sound that is distinct from my humbucker one and the strat and the tele ,,non of which are the real deal ...but hey its nice to mess...However I really do want to get a high gain model like yours just to finish off my guitar sounds collection :P

@@nosub8969 Absolutely. I didn't mean my comment as a skam or any thing. Different flavors are always cool. Hallmark and Eastwood bithe make a Misrite copy that is closer overall but but are around $1000. High mark names custom pickups for there's so it's possible they go for a Mosrite tone. Who knows.

I really like the two kids and their performance. I dislike the two guitars. Their Sound is horrible for my ears. Both of them. The guitarist used to be funny in my opinion, outwardly as inwardly. He seems to be a good father. Good luck to this family!
