They only made 3 or 4 for the movie. Chuck Zito ended up with one and I think the dealership that originally built it has one. Not sure what happened to 3 and/or 4. There have been various magazine articles written about it. Enjoy the search and history! 👍

I see at least two different bikes in this video. Look at the speedometer’s. One bike has bare metal tank. One is painted silver. Looks like the rear fender is different between bikes on the video.

Chuck Zito is riding, Mickey’s personal bike. He had it for years and only recently gave it back to Mickey they are very good friends The movie bike is at Bartel’s HD, on display, I believe.

Actually there were two bikes built by Bartels H-D in Marina Del Ray California, BD1 and BD2, that were scrapped, a third was built by Mickey Rourke and Billy Westbrook, that bike was stolen, then Mickey had another 98 inch version built that was going to be used in a movie with Mickey called The Ride but was never made, then MGM asked him to be in HDMM movie and the BD3 bike was used , which is the one in the opening scenes of the movie, a duplicate 80 inch version that MGM had Bartels build was used for all the riding and stunt scenes, the BD3 98 inch version is at Bartels H-D on display, and Chuck Zito had the 80 inch version for several years, Mickey has that bike back now.

@@cwfella As the owner of a 93 FXRS-CONV and a 2010 FLHTC I prefer to ride a motorcycle with a suspension. Obviously you are in the camp of image and not practicality. I watched a rider going along a bumpy road with a rigid frame. His head and body was bouncing up and down so much that I thought he would be catapulted over the handlebars or have a brain aneurysm. I thought, "what an idiot" If that's what you prefer,"great" I guess you have an ass as big as Texas for your rear shocks. And image is all you know and all that matters to you.
