HARLEY DAVIDSON BACKFIRING and here's why!

Today i had Billy Bob Evo Softail in due to the OEM HD ignition module failing
Ignition module failure results in back firing through the carb on acceleration, absolutely no performance whatsoever due to the ignition timing being thrown around erratically
The module, especially when a camshaft is updated, also higher compression applied will melt the unit causing the silicon based adhesive that holds the unit together to weep down the wiring harness and out the bottom of the cam nose cone
When the Evo's need more timing, especially when the engine makes more horsepower than stock, these standard units will fail
Bill's bike is now fitted with a Twin Tech Ignition Module that allows us to work with more timing, work with the fuel the bikes using and setting a rev limiter thats desired. Another great feature is, depending on your application, this unit can be used with single fire or dual fire coils which can be set up via the program dials
A 1000km service was carried out as this engine is fresh from being built

Sometimes you can push on the sealing material & kill the engine . I've replaced a bunch of those factory modules !
