@@HellcatJohn that sounds like Apple car play. I use it in my car like that. But Harley needs 300$ for a wireless interface and instal kit. Then you need to get a Harley approved headset. So I don’t get to use Apple car play on my bike.

Good thorough video.Just curios if anyone knows: as a new owner, does keeping the bike in accessory mode or run for my CVO kill the battery without the bike running? How long can I safely listen to music while detailing or working on my bike before I should start it to charge the battery? Thanks for your time…..

IT IS THE BEST TURORIAL. Question: when you come to time 1 minute and 20 seconds / 25 minutes and 08 seconds Navigation Info - could you please explain what are those number as those --|-- tick --|-- clock ---yd for? as they never changed when I looked at them on my CVO 2021 Street Glide. On my old GT radio, when I had the Nav up, the very bottom bar would show what iTune song was playing. I can't figure it out on the GTS.

Good job. I never see the first info screen with any info. How do you get it to register info?

When I press the navigation all it shows is a compass. Is there a way to make the map come up to bypass the compass?

As long as it's the gts radio with the touch screen buttons, I'm guessing there is a disconnect somewhere between the radio and the satellite antennas. I would recommend taking it into a dealer to verify.

@@grandtetonharley-davidson8690 Thanks and as it were the GTS needed to be reflashed. The WHIM ended up needing to be reflashed as well. Next after I locate my SH10 headset I'll attempt to get the Carplay going. Initially I replaced my GT with a GTS.

Are directions only verbal. Can it display text describing the next turn and distance to the turn?

When inputting the route into the GPS go to route settings, then scroll down to avoidance and input the information there. Would recommend using the harley app on your phone and syncing your routes that way. Significantly better imo for fine tuning your routes.

Is there a way to add custom points of interest to the navigation system? I have been using Garmin basecamp and I have POI's that I would like to transfer into my new bike. Thanks

You can create a custom route in the H-D app with POI and transfer to the navigation system.

I have a 2021 roadglide special. On my radio I have a icon that says RBDS . What is that and what does it do? I didn't see you cover that.

The Radio Broadcast Data System (RBDS) is the American equivalent of the Radio Data System (RDS) protocol, which is the standard protocol for the distribution and propagation of data by FM radio signals. The two standards (RDS and RBDS) are more or less the same.

Great video! I’m just a little confused about using the intercom feature. If I have the WHIM and two wireless headsets assigned to the Rider and Passenger fields, can I select Intercom from the Boom to talk with my passenger. Or do I need to pair my headsets with each other?

The intercom feature helps with wind noise! The headsets are linked through the infotainment system aka “boom audio”. So as long as the headsets are synced up it will work. You only have to sync the helmets to the bike.

@@grandtetonharley-davidson8690 thanks, but how do I initiate a conversation? Do I just press the PTT button? The moment I do that in CarPlay, I get Siri, and without CarPlay, I get the Boom Assistant. Also, I’m assuming that the Intercom setting in the GTS need to be enabled (On), right?

Thanks and great explanation. Can I pair two phones? Also any way to make my packtalk black headset work all this? Also apple car play seems to work with the wired headset but disappears when I disconnect the headset even when my iPhone is tethered.

Left Data Feild - Why does the RADIO status appear over this data field when you have NAV appearing?

Is there a way to have the keyboard come up when searching for a song? (Iphone connected through bluetooth). I had a 2018 Ultra and when I clicked on a letter on the songs search, the keyboard would pop up and I could type the first letter of the song and those songs would come up. But with my 2019 CVO Streetglide, the keyboard doesn't come up. Each letter shows on the right side of the screen as I scroll. I have to scroll through all songs in alphabetical order (with 1200 + songs) and it takes a while to get through them all. Maybe some different setting on my bike???? I hope there is a simple fix for this.
