love my fxr. I pass the dmv driving test on it. Everyone said it was too heavy to pass the tight turns of the test. But this is not your average bar to bar bike. It handles well. at 6 foot 190 lbs, I hit some loose gravel in a turn and it began to slide sideways. I put my leg out and was able to keep it off the pavement. Any heavier and I would have lost it. So it is the perfect size for a guy of my built. I rode my for from Santa Cruz California then across Texas to Houston, then down to key west and up to New York and then across the Northern states going home. Because of the highway pegs, I was pretty comfortably able to ride about 9 hours a day. All that without a windshield. I hooked up with a 25 year old kid who just bought a new early and did the same trip only in reverse and the other guy in our pack was in his late 70's and a grizzled old bear of a man. The kid made me feel like a wimp next to him on his trip. He was riding 18 hours a day and sleeping in rest stop, plus he narrowly outran a tornado. Have to say, riding across Texas with a 45 mph sidewind kicked my ass. sat on the side of my seat and locked my elbow to my knee to steer it straight. West side of Florida was no joke either. So many bugs, it looked like I had been dipped in green snot. None of us has windshield and I dubbed us THE BUG EATERS.. FXR's are fine bikes. Definitely an allarounder. When driving across the Nevada desert, I ran into a Harley fan flying a stealth bomber. Saw him make a straight path towards me and flew right overhead super low. Awesome experience.you could buy other bikes, but Harley is the only brand that come stock with attitude and pulls like a tractor up steep hills. Plus the sheer joy of romping on the throttle in a mall parking lot and setting off dozens of car alarms is some cheap thrills. Too loud, too bad.

Great review, you don’t have to do 120mph and stop from 60 in 100 ft. to have a good experience.
