The heel toe shifter was the first thing I changed about my 2016 Road Glide when I bought it back in the day. I deleted that heel shifter with a Covington's Customs spacer lol.

To each their own, that’s the beauty of these bikes. You can change it however you want! I’ve always found it to be more comfortable and convenient with the heel shifter.

Or... One can simply elect to not use the rear shifter and just leave it in place.

Sometimes I like to ride with my feet closer to the rear of the floorboards. This is where my feet would go if it had midmounted foot pegs. I want to get a heal toe shifter but I think it might get in the way of where I normally keep my feet. Would you say this is the case or is there of plenty space to keep my feet there without bumping into the healshifter?

Stock might be a little difficult! But I bought floorboard extenders from Crossthread cycles and have no issue doing so....

@@greengoblindave Harley Davidson Heritage Classic. I am not sure if the sport glide parts are interchangeable. But I don’t see why the heel toe shifter wouldn’t fit as long as you get the longer arm. A lot of the sport line parts fit on my Lowrider S though !

I don’t understand the plus of using a back shifter. You need to move your foot much more than using the front one. Especially when you try to find the neutral.😮

Personal preference and she likes! She finds neutral pretty easy either way!

It’s nice to have the heel shifter, so you don’t mark up your riding boots, and I have found recently on my new bike. My foot is slipping past his toe shifter, and not changing gears for me. I am trying to figure out a heel toe set up for my dyna switchback.
