I watched another review on this bike from the States last month and they agree, its a great bike. When they produce a bike with a minimum 150 mile range I will get one. My daily commute is 104 miles (North Devon to Exeter) so I need that little extra. Cracking review though Buddy (and sub'd)

Quite a nostalgic video for me,I remember that noise very well but with the added rattle of milk bottles in the morning. I wonder if Harley will try to patent that sound....or have Dyson beaten them to it? Looks good actually but waaaay out my price range,I'd probably get £800 for my old Bandit on a good day. I'm in Plymouth,I'd have headed up to say hello if I'd known you were in the City. A bit of a worry as well that even the dealers were short of chargers,hopefully they'll become universal for electric vehicles so you can pick one up at Halfords or wherever if you need one.
@exeterrider2 жыл бұрын
Hi mate, will the fast chargers are a one off. This bike is fine for 100 miles, but with the bike being used all day, that's where the problem arose, so don't look into that too much. If you do 100 miles in a day, you can charge overnight on a 3pin plug and be ready to go the next day. Thanks Dave, maybe we will meet someday, but that eas a full day anyway 👍

The rouble with the livewire is no matter how awesome it is, people won't take to it especially with the price tag. I loved riding it and if money was no option I would definitely have one. It's got a better ra ge than my VTR 🤣🤣

Here in the US I’ve never seen one on the road or in a dealership - I live outside of any major metropolitan area. I did see one in the National Motorcycle Museum though……I think that says it all for the Livewire here. Great looking bike but it should be for the price.

Great video but to me its just another lifestyle accessory for people with plenty of money. For that price I'd like the ability to go more than a hundred miles in a day without having to wait around for it to charge to go home. Perhaps in a few years eh?

Must be a great experience to ride one but it needs to be half the price and have twice the range to be of interest to more than a select few. 100 miles of range is not enough for most of my Sunday rides, let alone for anything else ! And the price ? Well, *cough**cough*, what have they been smoking ? Thanks for sharing ER, the electrics are definitely coming but this one isn’t going to be the game changer ! Cheers 🥃 El Otro

I like the idea of electric bikes, but.... they ain't there yet. I will be really interested to see what comes out of the concept bike Triumph are working on. When I can get something that is the near equivalent of my VStrom, then I will be first in the queue to test ride.

I actually like the look E R in a way would like to ride one but for this to work things would have to improve considerably on the infrastructure front and a 100mls is not a lot , having said that I probably only get 130 to a tank on my XJR , but filling it up is one hell of a lot quicker than an hour or eight . I think a problem they have is cost of purchase and the fact that if nobody buys because of price they simply won't get cheaper unless they can find a much cheaper battery concept .. Liked the colour tho ,👍😊
@exeterrider2 жыл бұрын
Yes it looks even better in real life. Yes the range won't suit everyone but there is still a mass market for those who can I think. I heard Simon GTR has just put a deposit down since watching this video 😊🏍️ Of you ever get the chance to try one, it's impossible not to like it. Infastrature is growing quickly, and it's supply and demand, how many charge points do you walk by with no one charging? Thanks for your time watching 👍
@crumblymal84792 жыл бұрын
@@exeterrider Not a snowball in hells chance of Simon getting close to one except to put a match to it 🤣. There are charging points with nobody at them because only the wealthy few can afford them , And the ones that could prefer their Range Rovers and the like .👍

Fantastic motorcycle! I test rode one about a month ago. I used to have a Harley Super Glide so I'm used to their switchgear. I wanted to get it but my body proportions or the way the bike was set up (bars rotated forward maybe?) made me stretch for the grips in a sportbike-ish stance so my neck was cranked that left my neck aching for 2 days after a 20 minute ride. That and the useless mirrors were the only negatives. I wanted to get it but my neck said no.
@benedictusparaan31392 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I prefer my BMW C Evolution scooter since it can go almost as far, almost as quick in a much more comfortable and easy going manner. Yet when I want to play, not many bikes can accelerate like it. I don't need to reach scary speeds. I jumped on that scooter every chance I got. Too bad a deer ended that fantastic run with that scooter.

Although I'd like an electric bike at some point, my only worry is the lack of noise, and people noticing you. They aren't that good when you do have some audible noise to warn them. I do think this is the bike that will push the rest to develop more. Thoughts?
@exeterrider2 жыл бұрын
I agree with you, but, I would also say, when do cars hear you anyway? Windows up, radio on etc. Reality is you ride much more aware that people can't hear you, then compensate for that, so it's not as bad as you may think but still a very relevent point. Thanks 👍🏍️

Great review on an interesting bike, ER. At present the disadvantages would be the initial purchase price and the limited range. I can't say I'm enamoured with the look of the machine either.
