I know you don’t know, being a young in. But you walked right past Randy Smiths awesome 45 magnum. One of the best custom bikes ever made. So glad that it’s in there where it belongs. I’ve been looking For one of those motors for a long time. 45 bottom 900 xl top throw in a pre unit tranny a VL springer and a Honda 360 rear wheel and you got a head turning rocket ship. It’s good that you went there and learned the history. It’s important to know. You never know when there might be test.😉

Thank you so much for doing this video. Sadly I'll never be able to afford a bike but maybe one day I'll get to the museum.

I live roughly 25 mi west of the museum and ride a "built up" 2011 dyna street bob and 2020 z900. I love ALL bikes and I'm not just sayin this cause I lived here in H.D. country my whole life but there's a cool factor that no other bike company can match. Glad you enjoyed your visit and come for the Anniversary next year!!!

I was pleasantly surprised to see Randy Smith's "Magnum," with its 45 lower end/Ironhead Sportster top end, there. Beth, Walksler's "Wheels Through Time" would be a great place for you and Clint to visit too. Ride safe -- W

I don't own anything H-D (anymore), but those restored machines are magnificent. I've owned and ridden a 1950 FL Hydra Glide (mildly chopped) a 1958 Duo Glide (bobbed) and a 1975 FX (stock). Those vintage bikes exude a timeless classiness. They remain the epitome of American craftsmanship and aesthetic. I'm glad you and your guy had a good time. Thanks for the look around. Ride safe -- W

Edjamacation time wool dries from the inside out so if you get wet you are still warm unlike cotton which holds the water on your skin until you freeze to death. Lesson over :)

Buell failed, because HD didn't understand how to sell their products. They kept Buell tethered to the existing exclusive HD dealer network; the bikes were never seen on showroom floors next to their market competitors' models. Essentially HD buyers weren't Buell buyers and the only buyers that saw them were people who went to HD dealers; likewise the potential Buell buyers didn't see Buells next to the bikes against which they were competing in non HD dealers. Buell's competitors were certain models from BMW, Ducati, maybe Triumph, KTM, even some Japanese models in the ADV, naked sports, sport touring segments. This all led to poorer sales than HD was happy with and their eventual shutdown.
