Dang Dave, it looks so good and this maybe the first time I've ever said that about a tour pack. Thanks for explaining the differences in cost over 3rd party and the benefit of grabbing the Vivid Black for the black hardware. Makes good sense to me.

You can always get larger washers if you are concerned. The reason the other packs have the metal plate is because those are abs plastic. The oem bottom is much stronger.
@jaytomes2856 Жыл бұрын
The metal plate acts like a giant washer. You are spreading the force of the tightened bolts across a larger surface area of the tour pack which will help prevent the plastic from cracking which would start around the mounting holes (with no plate). Not saying it will happen, but that is the reasoning behind it. HDs may be a little more heavy duty, but I would also factor in vibration and road conditions when considering buying the plate or not. Bike looks good with the tour pack. and the back rest is like the cherry on top. Can't wait to see it when it is all painted.

Love the faded colors you chose for the bike. I want a tour pack but damn 2k for my CVO is kinda steep and yes I believe sandwiching the tour pack with the plate will be sturdier and stronger rather than just the plastic
@withPercy Жыл бұрын
Thanks! You know, if I had a CVO I would not hesitate going OEM over a third party like Advanblack. There just no comparison in quality.

Man your bike is looking better and better. One day when my fat bob isn't up to the job I might just have to go the same route!
@jjs8046 Жыл бұрын
I already went same way 😅

Thanks, Dekka. Hopefully you'll still be enjoying your Fat Bob for awhile longer. But if you're going to go Road Glide at some point, I'm here to weigh in on stuff you're thinking about doing to the bike! 😁

What I run and love it. Harley-Davidson always makes the best quality over the cheaply made aftermarket tour packs. 😎⚡️🤙

I agree 100%. Can’t wait until the weather gets better so I can take this out on a trip. The quality is top notch.

@@withPercy I see that your bike is a 2021 RGS but what is the color? It's a great color scheme. I can find it anywhere.
@withPercy4 ай бұрын
Hi and thanks! It’s a custom paint and design. It’s actually a mix with some tangerine thrown in. The “black” is actually black with metallic flake to give it a hint of orange tie in.

Very nice video and the Tour Pack looks great. I have a question concerning your Lepara seat. How is the comfortability for all day / touring riding?
@BigTruckRacing Жыл бұрын
One question , how close does your saddle bag lids come to the pack , is this an issue ?
@withPercy Жыл бұрын
It’s not an issue. This is an HD tour pack. It’s designed to not interfere with the bags lids. Depending on the year of your bike, the HD site will tell you if a tour pack you are looking at is compatible with your bike.

could you give me the Harley part number for the vivid black tour pak with the black hardware? having trouble finding it
@lyndagreen6185 Жыл бұрын
Do you have a part number for the lock?
@withPercy Жыл бұрын
Sorry, I don’t have that. But your local dealer should be able to give it to you.

So after some time of having Road glide is it more fun Than a Fat Bob ? I do have my self Fat bob 2018 124 S&S kit and a lot other upgrades. Following your channel long time and I think to upgrade to a Bagger but I don't drive long distance a lot. Just some times having fun with my friends 200 mile a day run bar to bar. But more and more I am thinking to get one of the Baggers what would be your final opinion about the Touring bikes and softails ?
@MrMurphc137 ай бұрын
I just got rid of a 22 Fat Bob with a 475 kit stage 2,5 gallon tank and a lot more.I have a new Road King Special and I couldn't be happier.If you have to itch the bagger itch then do it.

@amg5795 It’s now been 2 years (and 30k+ miles) since I’ve made the switch and I’m heading out on another tour in a couple of days. While I’m on this trip I will be shooting a video to discuss my thoughts and experiences on moving to a bagger.

Great looking bike!! Is that a factory color or a custom paint? The tour pack looks like it belongs their! I like the wind shield too. Is it pretty functional too? Once again, beautiful bike sir!

Got my chopped tour pack on Amazon complete with mount and base plate for $300. Really impressed with the quality for the price, used it for over 5,000 miles and no issues. At the end of the day, plastic is plastic. Probably made in China anyway.

Nothing looks better than chopped tour pack. But it is called "pizza box" for a reason. 🤷♂️
@withPercy Жыл бұрын
I think that it's the Razor that's referred to a a "pizza box". And I can easily tell why! I think the chopped is just the right balance of looks and storage capacity.
@douganderson1212 Жыл бұрын
No, the razor pack is the pizza box
@douganderson12129 ай бұрын
Actually the Razor tour pack is called the pizza box not the Chopped tour pack.
