Love the Road king!!!! I actually have a 2005 Road King Classic myself love the older bikes... I did put 12" apes on mine still has that classy look.

I still could see myself doing the bars at some point. We have great bikes

Duke is looking good and sounds good. I just put a 19.5 in klockwerks windshield on my roadking and the fork mounted wind deflectors and now I get just the right amount of wind on a hot day. I'm really liking both of those upgrades and the Sundowner seat is pretty comfortable. Thanks for the great video and ride. 👍

Appreciate that Scott and that’s great news. Getting it just right takes time but when you got it….😎

I love the bars and the shake. HD had to put a shake back into the M8 because people didn’t like how smooth it was. Lol Great video my friend

I think I’ve shared with you before but I’m a old broad and can’t remember for sure. Anyway, I had an 2006 Road King Custom. He was definitely like me, needed to warmed up a bit before rolling. Sure is a beautiful day there and the water looks pretty

Great video bro🔥 I know what you mean about not wanting to change things! I have a 2004 Dyna low rider - all original 3700 original miles. It’s like factory mint so I’m hooked on that I don’t want to change anything! Even though apps would work well with the forward controls, kinda don’t wanna get rid of the original bars… The only actual problem I have is the way the air intake pushes my knee out and I have to twist my leg to keep my foot on the break during those situations when warranted - Gonna have to get an extended break
@BoDean522 жыл бұрын
Sounds like it on the extended break and hard to keep it 100% stock sometimes. Good luck and ride safe

My 06 yammie roadstar was carburated...I always joked that I had to go fire up the diesel engine!!...it didn't want to do anything until it warmed up for 3-4 mins!!...kinda like myself!😉👍...great video of a great bike!...stay safe out there!!😎👍🤙👍🤙🇨🇦

Older I get the longer it takes me to warm up!
@PMCraig2 жыл бұрын
My ‘07 likes to be warmed up a bit too. Generally I fire it up and let it idle a few minutes and then the slow ride out of my subdivision warms it the rest of the way up so by the time I get to an actual public road it’s ready to go. I think the stock bars look awesome, way better than the mini-ape looking bars on the new Road Kings. Just got back from a trip and spent a rainy day in my garage detailing my bike and doing an oil change. Looks every bit as pretty as the day I saw her in the Harley showroom!
@BoDean522 жыл бұрын
I use rainy days for the same thing...leave door open and bike time. I am already having hard bag regret lol
@PMCraig2 жыл бұрын
@@BoDean52 I’ve seen other Road King Classics where the owner switched to hard bags. They look fine. Makes them look like Road King standards though. Someone who really knew the differences could tell it was a classic with hard bags but many would think it was a standard with wide whitewalls. I bought my standard because I prefer locking hard bags. I think your bike would look good either way so just go with what works better for you…

So, you’re saying that ‘Duke’ is like us… needs a lot of warming up before we can move?✌️😂

I have a 1999 Electra-Glide Classic with the same exhaust you have, and was pretty surprised how well it sounded compared to my 2012 Road-King with Reinhart exhaust, not true duals though on my RK.

It’s not supposed to be smooth! I want a road king, but my wife still wants to ride with me so the TriGlide is the choice. And to be honest, I’m lazy and don’t have to put my feet down at a stop! 🤓 Great drone footage, BTW…

My stock bars on my 02 RKC are more like your stock bars on your RG, I guess like the RK Standards, they are turned up a bit and sort seem like a mini Ape Hanger. I was surprised about the 5 speed though, still does good on the highway.

I am good with the current bars for sure.....but I am just a RK lover!

Those little things you change are what make it your bike to fit you. Guys spend 20k, 30k, 40k.. on new bikes, Harley and Euro, and still replace seats, bars /add bar risers, lighting, crash bars, lower/raise foot pegs... BTW - if/when you drop the bike with hard bags they can get some serious damage. The leather bags simply absorb the impact. Not that this has happened to my 2011 RK Classic and why the leather bags are still on it. Also, personal opinion of course, the shape of the classic leather bags is better than the hard bags.
@BoDean522 жыл бұрын
Good point about the bags, I am not selling them that’s for sure. Probably a stage 😂
@PMCraig2 жыл бұрын
I have had a ‘99 and currently ride a ‘07 Road King Standard. I have dropped them both from time to time. The hard bags will not touch the ground or be damaged in a drop as the bike will end up resting on the crash bars at about a 45 degree angle. Now in a full blown crash or accident situation anything is possible but then you’ve probably got bigger things to worry about than a damaged bag. I just know that in a slow speed or stationary drop the bags don’t touch the ground…

Hey Bo, thanks for naming you RKC a guy's name! It is a Road "King" after all. I see so many people naming their RK's girls names. I even called a guy out on the Insta about naming his RK a chick's name and he replied that his RK "identifies" as a female???? WTF?🤥🙄🥴
