The bike was clean and well maintained. 20 years old and one owner. Me. I was ready for change however. Looking forward to sharing a few rides with the new Harley. Thanks for posting the comment.

Anytime you can add a new Harley to your fleet, it’s a good thing. Lol. Nice ride!

What have you done 😲!? Oh that is an excellent choice! Now we get to listen to the Harley cadence along with the boxer twin. So good. She’s a beaut Clark!

Yep. I guess that's what happens when you visit a Harley dealership near year end with some change in your pocket and a motorcycle your looking to sell or trade. I love the look of the HD Roadster. It's not a sports bike or cafe racer by any means but it sure looks and sounds badass.

Wheel, Happy New Year (& MC). Watch out or you'll need a bigger garage. Stay safe.

You got that right! Only have time for three bikes, and just barely. So I'd need to find more time before getting any more motorcycles. Happy new year.

Very kool. I love our Sportster. It is an 05. I have ridden it for years, and traveled, all around the western US on it. EVO Sportsters are Great bikes.

Thanks for sharing! I'm excited to have an air cooled traditional Harley to ride. HD might be doing away with the old school motors in the next few years. I'm looking forward to doing some rides on the bike and making a few videos. Happy new year.

@@WheelStories Look forward to watching them. Here is my old Sporty. I set her up with Givi Trekker bags so that I could tour. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHeZeYN7d9ZjhrM Sporty's don't get the respect they deserve. I have found that they can go anywhere any other bike can. Ours has been ultra reliable, and easy to work on for maintenance It will be a sad day when they are no longer manufactured.

Thanks for sending the link. I will check out the video. Good to know that your bike has been super reliable. Younger riders and custom builders are giving the sportster some respect. I've seen some cool modified sportsters at the bike shows.

:-( buh-bye Vulcan. You will be missed. The Sporty looks sharp. I look forward to some footage.

The Vulcan was a good bike. Had her for 20 years and did many miles on road trips. Hoping to shoot some video with the Roadster soon. Stay tuned. Thanks.

I think Harleys have the best sound ever, only ever had one, a sporty 883, loved it but it killed my back so swopped it for a Buell lighting , good luck with the new bike buddy
@WheelStories3 жыл бұрын
Hopefully the bike doesn't cause problems for my back. I had a disc removed years ago and still suffer lower back pain on occasion. The roadster has the pegs beneath me and you lean slightly forward which actually helps my back. Forward controls, leaning back and placing most of my weight at the bottom of my spine doesn't work. Thanks for watching.

G'day Wheel. Mint ride yo have there mate, loads of Summer fun there. I note that you have stayed away from the 1200 series BMWs, I'd be interested in any insight you might provide on this. BTW, I'm an 1150RT owner constantly under pressure to "upgrade".
@WheelStories3 жыл бұрын
My 1150's are still running strong. Once they begin to wear out I will explore an upgrade. The new models have become so expensive, however, I will be studying the used market. Thanks for watching and sharing your interest in BMW's.

Nice ride brother ive owned 5 sportsters I dig them the 1200 roadster is a great choice i am riding a Honda xr650l set up for adventure, a 1974 bmw r60/6 , 2007 heritage softail which is for sale looking for a 1200gs? Thanks for taking us along be safe and shiny side up

You have a nicely equipped stable of motorcycles. I took the roadster for a cold ride today. I like the bottom end torque. The stiff suspension will take some getting used to after riding my BMW's and the Vulcan. Looking forward to some longer rides when the weather warms up. Thanks posting the comment.

Aww! Big shame for me. My interest in your videos was mainly because of you riding a BMW in America. Have fun anyway and stay safe!
@WheelStories3 жыл бұрын
I still have two BMWs in my garage and have no intention of selling them. I love the BMW R1150R and will continue producing videos that feature the BMWs. They are my loyal traveling partners. The Harley will be fun for riding around town and shorter trips on the backroads. Thanks for watching and happy new year.
