Love the Bike. Glad to see you are having some great weather to ride. I have found myself riding mostly without my windscreen lately.

Hi Carl the good weather is coming to an end this week, a bit depressing but it's winter. I preferred my Iron without the screen it looked nicer without it. Thanks for watching 👍

Good to see another video from you Tim. This is starting to look a lot like my bike now :) The quarter fairing is great but as you noted a bit noisy. I just did a 2000km trip last week, the fairing was great protection but had to ride with ear buds in. Looking forward to the Stage 2. Excellent choice in the Cobra El Diablo but it will be quite a lot louder with the 475. It's amazing the noise level difference a cam can make. I put my stock cam back in for the trip I just did and it's so much quieter compared to the 483 with the El Diablo exhaust. The 475 will have a fair bit of valve overlap so will be pretty loud on the El Diablo. I also find the 475 fairly hard to tune. DO NOT use the pre-tuned 475 maps available with the Maximus tuner, they're way out. Only use them as a base to dyno tune.

Hey mate thanks for your input it's awesome 👍 I'm so looking forward to it. In getting it dynotuned exhaust fitted and serviced by the mob that tuned it just recently so he's going to tune it from scratch off my original map, these guys are the go to guy's here in Perth for all Harley work outside of dealership's. Hopefully they get it right, will let you know, stay safe mate 👍

@@timfinning Also forgot to mention. There are quite a few reports around of the quarter fairings flying off while riding. I haven't had any issues but I could see if you removed and installed the fairing all the time the rubber grommets might become a bit worn and loose.

@@kirkj85 I did hear this too, apparently in the U.S Harley have a locking mechanism to stop it happening but my local shop know nothing about it also heard that someone else in the states was working on something will have to wait and see I guess thanks mate for the heads up 🤙
@RiEBrash3rАй бұрын
They make windshields here in the states for it. I can get you the link if you want?

Thanks mate, yeh can't wait. Gets done this week really looking forward to it👍

@@timfinning I’m going to enquire about a Dyno tune this week for mine as I just had the stage 2 done with the maximus tune it seems ok but I think a Dyno might be better also maybe adding the s&s stealth air cleaner.
@timfinning2 жыл бұрын
@@BrizBiker I'm getting mine Dyno tuned by the guy's fitting the cam and a 2-1 exhaust so hopefully get some good numbers, just not sure about fuels consumption as it's a pretty small tank on the Bob. I think fun factor will out way that though

Howdy Tim. Fairing looks great! By now you have probably seen that i traded the street bob in for a new heritage. Hope all is well Randytbird
@timfinning2 жыл бұрын
Hey Randy, yes I did see I must admit I was surprised but the heritage is a great bike and you had one before so it must have left a good impression. I've just got my Bob cammed, keep your eyes open for my next video, stay safe 👍

Looks good. There is a company that makes different sizes if you need a taller shield
@timfinning2 жыл бұрын
Hi mate don't suppose you know who by any chance 👍

@@timfinning Denton fairing. They have different shields for quarter fairing .

Those engine mods will give you a nice boost.
@timfinning2 жыл бұрын
I certainly hope so but I also like fuel economy too hopefully it won't change too much 👍
@flatcapcaferacer2 жыл бұрын
@@timfinning It won't change much if you don't wick it too often. 😄

Did you need to order the blinker relocation brackets or a bracket mounting kit for the fairing itself, or did it come with everything?
@timfinning Жыл бұрын
Had to order all the parts separate but never used the blinker relocation kit although was told by the stealership that I would. The standard bars don't need them in my opinion but definitely for t bar set up

@@timfinning Good to know, thanks!

Was it easy to install the shield? It looks cool, but wondering if it's worth the money for effectiveness against the wind..
@timfinning Жыл бұрын
Hi Col, this screen for me is good I'm 5'9 - blocks the wind well but is a bit noisy at higher speeds. It's not buffeting wind it's clean. In regards to fitting it's very easy, took me maybe 1hr all up 👍
@colinoz Жыл бұрын
@@timfinning thanks Tim! I'm 6'1 and should be okay. I got quoted $970 with the brackets sold separately.. Harley tax!
@drainmonkeys385 Жыл бұрын
They should make that word so quick attach and detach like the heritage
@timfinning Жыл бұрын
It's mounted into 4 rubber grommets and they are a bit flimsy but I guess it reduces the vibrations, it moves around a bit 👍

Love a harley sport glide but Harley's are way too over priced
@timfinning2 жыл бұрын
They definitely are pricey. I like the Sport Glide too its a shame Harley have dropped them, such a good looking bike. Stay safe 👍
