Thanks I am in the maket for a new suspension for my 2019 I have the original suspension under it in the back in beats me to death. I am pretty much a solo rider and your video open my eyes to a different option that I didn’t even know about and I like what I saw. Thanks again.

The Ohlins might be an improvement, but there has to be a better option than climbing under the vehicle to adjust the preload. I own a 2011 TG and I'll put up with the air system before I resort to that. Plus, we all know independent suspension is the only way to make these trikes ride any better. I don't care what aftermarket shock you put on it.

Thanks for your setup guides. I'm still riding my 03 FXDWG but I think in the next 5 to 8 years I'll be updating to a TriGlide, Don't want to, but case of have too. Thanks again for all the imput to the shocks and setups. Cheers from Down under in Australia from Teddy

Well done. So thorough and clear, Thanks for this video. I just purchased a 2020 (my first trike) and my wife was not real crazy on the first ride of only 10 miles. She is used to riding on Ultras and Limiteds so this gives me hope.

@Scott Peters, the stock suspension is terrible. Make sure you carefully monitor the pressure in the OEM air shocks The owner of this trike let his get low, hit a big bump and his wife fractured her back. She is never allowed to ride a motorcycle, jump on a trampoline etc...again for fear of instant paralysis :(

@@BrockDavidson Oh my god. Sorry to here that. The 19-20's are the same shocks as the other touring bikes with the adjuster under the seat, No more air shocks. But I'm considering the 14 inch shocks and lift kit from DK Customs. He seams to be the most knowledgeable on the Trikes. Thanks.

I have a suggestion , drop the air pressure in the rear tires to 22lbs . This will help soften the ride but still enough air to not break the bead.

Seems like the poor handling and increased risk of tire/rim failure would not be worth trying that...

I Own a 2002 Road King, a 2003 Ultra and I purchased a 2011 Triglide last year. The Triglide is by far the funnest Bike to ride. There is just 1 down-fall and I wish Harley can fix it. Your wife will want to start riding with you again!!

How do you adjust the shocks after the wheels are on you got to get on the floor

je suis de Belgique et mon tr gilde est de 2017 ; la suspension réglée a 20 psi seul et a 40 psi a deux mais pas bon sur mauvaise roue les pneumatiques sont bien gonflé avant et arrière d après le lire de harley ;;;faut il changer uniquement les amortisseurs arrières et en plus la plaque de levage ;;;et par apres les amortisseurs avant faut il les remplace aussi merci I am from Belgium and my tr gilde is from 2017; the suspension set to 20 psi alone and has 40 psi has two but not good on bad wheel the tyres are well inflated front and back after the harley read;;; you only need to change the rear shock absorbers and the lifting plate;;; and after the shock absorbers before must it replaces them also thank you

MAX pressure for the stock tri glide shocks is 50 lbs..60 or 80 lbs WILL blow the seal.

Is that your shop, I’d have sworn it was a storage unit. I have a Tri Glide and I can easily adjust my suspension with the Harley handheld pump with a built in gauge. No way would I ever climb under my vehicle to change my shock adjustments.

Our facility used to be a 5 bay Emissions test facility built by the state of Ohio. Works out great for our dyno work ($amazing$ ventilation system) as well as our 11K square foot. shipping/distribution area. FYI: A friend of mine broke his wifes back after hitting a bridge gap with his pump up shocks. Dr. won't let her ride ever again so he had to sell his trike. New owner has no problem adjusting a proper shocks...

Looks like the same shocks that were on my 2005 Road King Classic. $40,000 purchase and Harley is using 20+ year old suspension technology. Sad very sad.

@Chip van meter. Glad you like our video. I agree, you would think the H-D units would be of higher quality from the factory, but this is not the case. Ohlins are the worldwide leader in motorcycle suspension, they are the best - they are not inexpensive, but they are well worth the cost.

@@BrockDavidson After installing the lift you should be able to put p 205/7515 tires on and gain another 3/4 inch height or maybe some 16" rim's and tires.

So every time I ride solo, I have to take the wheels off adjust the shocks. Then when the ol lady rides I have to take the wheels off and readjust them. Seems like a waste of time,
