Here in the US, it's exactly the opposite. When you personalize a bike, it lowers the value. The closer it is to stock the more it's worth.

Bought a 2007 electra glide classic new 17 years ago , been riding it ever since. Im 69 dad was a military motorcycle police in world war two had me on an old 250 triumph tiger cub at age 9 teaching me slow maneuver skills. Ive rode everymake there is in the last 60 years and heard all the horror stories about Harley Davidson before i bought it. Never thought it would be the most reliable motorcycle but for me it has been. Regular maintenance and keeping it stock has never made me walk anywhere. There have always been Harley haters but im not a brand guy ,just ride what i enjoy. Thanks for the video, keep riding!

@@The-skillschool Yes it definitely lacks the refinement of more modern machines! 😊 I bought it nearly 40 years ago from a RN man in Gosport and my first Harley ride was bringing it back here to Norfolk, a baptism of fire! (not literally!) 😁

Nice little bimble out Gary. Myself & my wife rode a new Harley Street Glide along Route 66, it tried to shake itself to pieces. It ended up with both rear light covers missing and the top box was falling off. Tbf though, it was very comfy and cruised well on the big straight-ish roads over there,it didnt handle though compaired to my big CB1300S Honda

I have had 100's of bikes over the years before I was disabled 4 years ago and I still have a Harley Rocker C and a lot of folk don't rate Harley's, but I absolutely love them and they suit the riding of a mature rider perfectly, although I can't ride anymore, but at least I can still participate in my other passion metal detecting with the help of my wife. I had a honda ex police motor bike st 1300.for 10 years no problems with it until i hit a lump of wood in the road So i had metal plates in my arm 3months in hospital .so no more motor bikes After 40 years of riding. So now i got a 800 cc diesel smart car. 😊from raining Cornwall 😊
