Exactly the type of build I’m looking to do on a 2008 heritage. Would love a parts list.. So hard trying to find what I’m looking for here in Australia.

I saw this bike in another video. Totally cool tribute to the 'Hydra Glide' of the 50s and looks the part as well!

It looks like a hydra Glide, with the a swing arm. DuaGlide came up out in 58 first swing arm frame. Looks like a hydra though.

Looking great. Could you tell me how to (or where to) attach the rear crash guard to swing arms?

Great job! Especially like the retro "cam cover". Did you purchase or fabricate?

Nice work!...I came across this video searching for a softail panhead fabrication and your the only thing I can find online after hours of research. Did you use an original panhead rear fender, and if so did it need much fabrication to make it fit? Any advise would be much appreciated.
@mikeb43 жыл бұрын
It's a Paughco reproduction Panhead fender, it needs significant fabrication and welding to attach securely.

The gray one he had on utube is for sale on ebay right now. Just letting you know. You might save yourself alot of headaches and purchase one already finished. These bikes look awesome when done up like this. I have a 99 evo heritage springer.

I am trying to do a pan head duo glide tribute with my 07 Dyna. I really like the vintage style speedometer dial you used in this build, any tips on where to get one made or how to make one?
@mikeb43 жыл бұрын
Hi I had it made several years ago and installed it. Just look online for someone who makes custom speedo faces and use the old cable speedo for a model.

Nailed it with the exception of the goofy front fender which isn't any fault of yours. Blame that on the MoCo for making the front fender

evo engines are way better and last a lot longer than a flat, shovel or knuckle head engine, how much did it cost you to convert it to a tank shift? do you have a clip while you are riding and changing gears?

Love it.

Hi Sorry I built two of them and they are sold. I don't plan to build anymore, starting a car project.

Very nice Job! 👍To make it even better, please change the black lettering on the namesplates to red. There was never a version with black letters in those days. Harley sells them today under the OEM part numbers, but these repop parts only look similar on the first view. Old parts were made by Fox Co in Cicinatti, were chromed brass and had a total different shape (in a direct comparison). So if you change the letters to red, your hommage to the old Pans will be even better. Pls see my 1950 video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/emXEiH-tlrp7bK8
