Hey Josh, I have been a fan for a while because watching youtube was all I could do while I was recovering. I am a PhD chemical engineer who was badly burned over 30% of my body and my Lungs from an explosion of heated high pressure mixed acids. I have been told this may be mid life crisis but i still stand by the accident. I decided to actually do what I always wanted. I went to University if South Florida Tampa and lived in Sarasota. I moved to Pennsylvania to help take care of my mother when she got sick and ended up staying with my dad and brothers up North.I always wanted to build choppers and restore vintage bikes. Seeing you really cemented this . I went from having no bikes and barely any tools or machinery to hitting some estate sales and Facebook marketplace to having a great assortment of hand tools and machines such as a drill press, lathe, vapor honing cabinet (built from a harbor freight thing), A 400 gallon 10 horsepower air compressor, glass beading cabinet and a hand built lift that I am pretty proud of. I searched high and low for some good bikes and found a wonderful 1969 cb750 chopper. By the time I went to pick it up , the guy had sold the motor and other parts. I was able to get a great deal on the chassis. I did find a seized cb750 which I used a s a donor bike and rebuilt the motor. I built an awesome frame for an xs650 and have a bobber with angus horns looking handlebars. A barn find xs650 bike became a donor , again with a seized engine. I will be at a point soon where I will be riding ( it's fucking cold here) from Philadelphia down to Tampa to see Moe to have the bike painted. I would love to catch up with you while I am down there and want to give you my personal information so we can stay in touch. To make a long story even longer, the ending is that I started a custom chopper and vintage motorcycle shop outside of Philadelphia with vintage farm tractor restoration included. I do not use instagram but I can download it if that is the best way to get in touch with you. I am on Facebook. Let me know the best way to get in touch my friend.

@jberschied34 жыл бұрын
I have an '82 and mine won't wobble at all even at 90 mph so there's probably something wrong or damaged with that front end. I can get it to flex if I really push it into a turn hard but it still won't wobble. The motor company switched the FXR to a 39mm front end in '87, so you missed it by one year. The FXRS also comes with dual disks up front. You can find dual disk 39mm front ends for FXRs out there and no one would even know you switched it out. They might be the same front ends as the Sportsters for all I know.
