I had forgotten how much I'm absolutely in with the Medicom MAFEX DC Batman: Hush line. Well, not forgotten, but I need gentle reminders every now and then. But Harley came in, shook me by my shoulders and went "HEY! REMEMBER THIS SERIES? WE'RE STILL KICKING ASS!"

Medicom absolutely nailed this figure. Other than the upper torso not being glossy like the rest of the outfit, I can't think of anything they did wrong based on this video. This will always be *the* Harley Quinn look for me, and it's when Harley was at her most athletic, so I love all the range they gave her. I'd go as far as to consider it the gold standard for Mafex female comic book characters. Hopefully they stick the landing with Huntress and Poison Ivy... and eventually give us a Cassandra Cain Batgirl. I don't care if she wasn't in Hush or Knightfall, I just need a really good Cass to fit into the display!

Mine was shipped yesterday just as pre-orders for Poison Ivy went up. Medicom... they have me hooked. The first team I finish from them is gonna be the Gotham City Sirens when Ivy releases in 2024. I know, I'm an optimist :P

@@epiclvlpurple9869 The Wolverine fell apart at the seams and the new Cyclops has some major paint apps issues with the blue seaping through the white. Even the classic Cyclops had a weird scaling problem. There's also some mis matching paint on the new Storm. Psylocke was good but I had a qc issue on mine. Jean Grey is good but really loose. Not what I'd call a clean sweep but is what it is. A clean sweep is the Dark Knight Returns and Hush series. Those are phenomenal top to bottom.

For me the Icons is still my favorite, but the DC Collectibles Arkham Knight Classic style Harley Quinn I still think is the best-looking figure of the character, not as functional as others but purely looks wise, it's one of the nicest looking figures in my collection, well worth a look at. Mafex is one of those lines where I do want to get more into it, but they aren't as easy to find here in the UK. Not to mention by the time they release and there's a verdict on whether the figure is good or not, its already high price has shot up even further.

Best classic Harley Quinn since DC Icons. And that’s a shame. Such a popular character but so few figures of her classic look. And that goes for a lot of DC characters honestly. I really wish Todd would just relinquish control of the DC brand. I just can’t stand the overly detailed inconsistently scaled, most Batman or Batman adjacent Multiverse line anymore. I know a ton of people who would pay real good money for a truly solid domestic DC line. Not that there are a ton of other companies I’d trust to do it justice, but if nothing else I wish Todd would realize there’s a market for smaller scale figures too.

Great review! I haven't seen many pics from people getting their Harley's yet, so this video is very welcomed. I'm curious if you could somehow make her hold the gun from the DC Multiverse or DC Icons Harley. Have you tried that? It would be pretty interesting to see.

Every single line I have has "QC" problems, it's not just one company. We have blue tack, heat guns, hot water, drill bits, liquids to make joints looser, liquids to make joints tighter. None of that stuff matters, it's what the actual sculpt is that matters to me

Every time I remember about the dc icons line I yell in a obi wan voice you were the chosen one😭. I haven't liked a dc line outside a few figuarts, play art kai's,or mafex's once they killed icons. I will hesitantly buy this one because my Jean had a frustrating amount of qc issues that I labeled it a beautiful looking disaster of a figure.

Ahh man this is one nice fig. As a Harley fan in general love the classic look. Its been awhile since I read the story but I do slightly remember the bounce shoes. Think was running from Bats and used them. Remember something deal I g with her cowl and the balls at the end coming off and being like a bolo somehow and then blowing up in Batman's face as she got away too. 🤔 yep have to reread now. Even if when I like at Jim Lee's Killer Croc and see Brood infected Ghost Rider now.

Neat. Harley is one of those characters that I have more than one figure of. I think I prefer art styles that depict characters with bigger heads though since it makes them easier to see (I mean, not to the point of a funko pop, but. . . ).

This figure is fantastic, however mine’s right wrist is super weak and always splits in half if any sort of weight is added to it or if it’s moved a certain way, particularly when I’m putting on a new hand.

Harley always looks off to me in non Bruce Timm designs, I think it's mostly the way artists do the domino mask and the pigtails, they seem more drooped. Looks like a great version of her Hush design, but I really hope Mafex does a figure of her BTAS/BTNA design.

This is irrelevant to this video but I just bought my first model kit, one of Greninja to go in my Super Smash Bros collection. Now I think I’m convinced Model kits surpass traditional figures a lot more often than you would think. This channel convinced me of that too. I’m 🤏 this close to buying the Bandai ESB Boba Fett because I never got the Black Series. It’s a shame more reviewers and more people in the community don’t pay as much attention to model kits because they’re really fun and interesting. You get to build an action figure. That’s so cool. And not only that but you get to see what the engineering is like on the inside, and I think that gives you more appreciation for it. But I know having something ready out of package is far more convenient, especially since you can see what you’re getting into almost immediately. You can’t really know what a model kit looks like until you’ve built it so I understand those who don’t prefer it. Different strokes for different folks I suppose 🤷‍♂️ Anyway I’m hoping this doesn’t start a new kind of addiction, but for right now I’m happy. Those DC Icons really were something special. So much potential, wasted. DCC really had no idea what the hell they were doing when it came to action figures. They would always wait till the last minute to make fan requested changes to their lines. Changes that should have been common sense. What's the point of articulation if it doesn't work? Range of motion is important. And it was like they never bothered playing with the figures before mass producing them.

I wanted to love this figure but I just don't. I don't know, it's just not doing it for me. I fell in love with Batman and Superman from this line, they are perfection to me. Since I first saw this one I just didn't feel drawn to it and Harley is my favorite character, period, in this outfit. I'm not sure if it's the body not seeming curvy at all or the proportions being off in some way to me but something is up body wise. While I'm okay with the heads it also feels like someone cosplaying as Harley and not Harley herself, if that makes sense. I prefer the Icons version but if we could get a Harley that looked like the DC Direct Hush Harley with this kind of articulation, that right there would be the definitive Harley to me. The head alone on that figure I don't think will ever be topped for a Harley.
