That is what is called "respect" toward your fellow colleagues, your champions...your friends for life. What Harley said, he meant every word of it, too. The greatest showman and the toughest man on that stage there. This is the part of wrestling that was real. The bumps, the blood, the glory, and the rarest part of wrestling - life long friendships.

Those tears came from a cold sober Ric Flair. I've never seen him this serious in any interview. What a privilege for that audience to be in that small hotel conference room with these two legends. Like coal miners, the wrestlers who came up during the age of the territories are a dying breed. The world will not see their kind again. I'm glad they're such good sports and give all of these interviews that you find here. They do not dismiss their fans. It's an oral history of an age that has passed. Dang this clip was good. I almost feel that these words would never have been spoken between these men if it wasn't for the audience. True performers: the audience gives them permission to be courageous.

It's one thing to get the applause and the accolades when you are being "The Nature Boy." When you get the applause and the accolades because you are being Mr. Ric Flair, it's another thing completely. In the ring, the fans applaud what you've done. Outside the ring, in a hotel conference room, the fans applaud who you are. Mad respect for Flair _and_ Race...

That is one of the problems that happens when you get older, your tear ducts get a mind of their own, tears will start rolling down your cheeks over stuff that don't even concern you, and your dam why the hell is this happening?then something that maybe you should cry about happens, and your eyes are dry as a potato chip

❤🙏❤ ... Wow ... And yes Harley meant every single words he said - I truly believe if someone offered Harley $10,000 ca$h to say something on camera in front of a live audience that was a lie or that he sincerely did not believe he absolutely without any doubt would not say it . And what makes this even more special is that Harley is widely regarded as the greatest legitimate NWA champion of all time by many people around the world . Harley was " The toughest and greatest wrestler on God's green Earth " . This video is truly something special . Thank you for uploading this piece of history ❤🙏❤

Back in the day these guys were the "real deal". Harley just a pure wrestling talent and Ric start ing to be put on the map with his gimmick. It was new fresh as these guys could do the broad ways the way pro wrestling should be! What happened? First Harley joined that cartoon wrestling organization in the northeast , with that stupid king gimmick which I think to this day tarnished his image and Ric we all know what happened he embarrassingly overstayed his welcome. His gimmick and wrestling style became very stale let alone his partying life style nearly destroyed yet sadly his life, but seeing these two on stage again recalling what is was like in the late 70s and early 80s is something to marvel about....
