Man, does this bring back memories: 1984 June/July, road trip with my cousins from Dallas up thru Yellowstone, across Glacier NP, into Canada via Waterton Lakes NP, Alberta, Banff to Vancouver, back down thru Seatle, Idaho, Utah and Rocky Mountain NP. Almost 5 weeks all told.. My ride-a Norton 750 Commando. My cousins rode a Triumph 750 and a Harley trike with trailer, respectively (our pack mule, by any other name). Great video, Rick, thanks for posting it: looks like you lucked out on the clear weather, too!

I spent two of the best summers of my life working in Glacier Park, one summer at the East Entrance, Glacier Park Lodge, and one summer at Many Glacier Hotel. If you are young, go there, and hike your ass off! If you're not so young, drive up the pass, like these guys and gals. Stop at every over look, every historical marker. Go to the hotel's and take all of the boat rides. It was 40 years ago, and although I did not make much Money, I'd do it again in a heart beat! A part of the country most people do not get to see, so make plans to go, some how, some way.

Room reservations made....bucket list getting shorter. We are anxious ride our motorcycle to experience this gorgeous God given gift. Curious as to how it compares to Bear Tooth Highway. Mr. Morgan: Thank you for posting!

On Bear Tooth Highway I got the sense that I was on top of the world looking down on everything because you're above the tree line. Weather seems to change quickly over Bear Tooth....at least it did for me. Sunny on the way over and rainy on the way back. Since they're close to each other I hope you can do both rides. You'll be glad you did. Good luck.

I wish ! I am so stinking afraid of heights I could never do that drive but I trust someone with experience! Plus my right arm is bad and I just couldn’t do it, I would not be safe for myself or for other people on the road :( I should have learned to ride when I was younger but had no idea back then how much I would love it ! I’ll buy the Harley, I just need a driver :) Anyhow, I have amazing memories and I cherish those 🥰

Glad to hear you're going. You'll be glad you did. We were heading to Logan Pass Visitor Center from the West entrance of the park. I believe it was in the afternoon. Enjoy!
