That looks great, totally different look. I have the Motheroad pan and seats on my 20 Standard and 14 Sportster 72, find them to be pretty comfortable for the riding style I do. Long ride for me is about an hour or 2. Not a real long distance guy anymore but they are easy to swap for a different seat-10 minute job. I've got the washer/nut/spring thing mastered by now, if you know you know.

I have the exact same seat on my 2020 StreetBob. I used the rigid mount instead of the springs. It will put your seat height about an inch lower. I have ridden about 2500 miles with it and find it to be super comfortable.

Thanks for this video. I have been contemplating getting this seat for my Softail Slim but was concerned about how difficult the would be. After watching your video, I know that even with my limited wrenching expertise I can install this myself. Well done sir.

I got one I fucking hate it I’ll trade you for your stock seat I bought the bike with that seat on it the leather does not wrap around the edges and it leaves you with these painful little bruises in the back of your thighs when you’re writing is not bad until you get on the throttle good luck staying on the seat

Does anyone know where I can find the Spring Saddle Installation Kit; HD P/N 52100029? I just recently bought their Leather Solo Seat, only to find out that I need that part. There are no HD stores in the US selling them anymore; it's obsolete. I've been calling\emailing overseas. Still no luck. I want this look. At this point I'm just trying to find an alternative. Any suggestions? Prefer this HD one, new or used; but anything at this point. Please tag me if you have any leads.

How important are the six screws that you removed are they different lengths I bought a bike that has the seat on it already but of course they did not send the original six screws that you removed in the video with the bike so now I’m not sure what to do

I bought the mother road customs solo spring seat and my ass kills me after 35 mins of riding. I put 1500 miles and I think my springs have compressed and yield. Almost feels like the springs are bottoming out now. The solo seat looks amazing but dam there painful. I just ordered new springs on amazon.

Not sure if there is a big difference between the HD version and customs solo, but I rode about 40 min yesterday and no problems.

@@LennyK I'm a daily driver of that means anything. But the seats look beautiful. I spent $850 and I kinda new solo spring Seats were not for comfort but more for looks. But I agree with u that bobber look is beautiful.

Just got my Softail Standard today. Watched plenty of reviews of the bike, a lot of people saying the stock seat is very uncomfortable. I thought it was people just being bitches and expecting it to feel like a couch. But goddamn, it really is a lot more uncomfortable than it looks. Don't know what it is man but it is very uncomfortable. But I can't find any other solo seat I like for the Softail, so I'm gonna have to live with the ass pain.
