John, Stonehenge Minstrel is right do not use the old gasket. Get a new one from your dealer, not worth the failure risk. The tank swap is fairly strait forward. There are several videos on how to do it on you tube if you get in a bind. Looking forward to seeing how you make out!

Pull the line drain the tank unbolt it put the new tank on I went from a 4 gallon to a 5 gallon tank on my 98 hog
