Tony, I could listen to you ramble all day long about this bike. I’m 58 & a Sportster fanatic, on my 3rd one but am craving all the things you mentioned here. Your comments are very convincing concerning this bike, just what I needed to hear. This looks like the perfect bike as I’m more into riding twisties

I just bought a 2019 slim ( traded in an iron 1200). Added 12” chiseled bars and a stage one with bassani 2 into 1. It’s a beast . Also added a saddlemen step up seat and feels way more sporty. It’s a sick ass bike. Watching your videos got me thinking about the slim a while ago. Thanks brother

That’s what I’m lookin for 18/19 slim. I like sitting more IN the bike. And I’m shorter and feet hit the ground good on slim, and forwards with the boards. But was struggling between the street bob and the slim….

I had a 2018 Slim loved the bike I just found it a bit small on long trips so I traded it in on a 15 Road glide I ride every day and big trip next week 900ks each way looking forward to better comfort and room to pack all my gear. Take care all the best from New Zealand 🇳🇿

Cool review, Tony. In my world, when I went from the 2012 heritage to the 94 Heritage, it felt a lot more like a pair of shoes in comparison. It might as well had been a sportster to that 2012. Glad you found the bike for you.

Love mine. Took it for a long ride yesterday and it handled well. Only issue was the vibration numbing my throttle hand. Any solutions to this problem please comment. I've heard lowering the bars would help but I like my bars the way they are. But yes it's a great bike. One of the people I was riding with jumped on my street bob and took it for a spin in the parking lot. And his response was when he came back was Wow. And he was riding the CVO special edition.

Great video. I totally agree with your comparison with the Sportster. I traded in my 2007 1200 Roadster and my 2009 Dyna Lowrider and bought a 2020 Softail Standard. I loved the way the Sportster handled and the motor and transmission on the Dyna. This Standard has it all. Handling, suspension and power and it feels more balanced laterally than the Dyna. The New Streetbob’s 114 motor seems like a great deal My 107 has plenty of power and the 110 ft/lbs of torque feels great. . I’m not crazy about the look of the narrow rear tire but maybe that’s why it is so easy to turn. I have look into the Memphis Shades W/S.

Thats how I feel with the Street Bob. Its a hybrid of an 883 and a forty eight... had it had a bigger tank I'd get it in a heartbeat... And because I wanted more comfort and storage that already paid off for.me.storage wise got me a 2020 Road King Special... I was debating between a RG and a SG but didn't want to.marry the wind protection which with 300 I can get on my RKS... Beautiful.bike and what you have put on brother

The smaller gas tank was the only thing that lost me on the bob. It was a blast to ride

Hi Tony, I have had both the slim and a Heritage ( yes i have changed bikes a lot) I agree with your comparison between the slim and the Street bob 114 , which i have now, The 16 inch front wheel is heavy and slows the steering some. they do ride and perform similarly. I did a comparison between the heritage 114 to my new 114 street bob on my channel you might find interesting . I think the longer heritage shock would be a great update. I was considering that on the slim before i bought the heritage. take it easy Randytbird

My first bike was a 2017 iron 883, got it in February 2020, in May 2020 I already traded it in for a 2016 Dyna Low Rider S. Haven't looked back!

I'm having fun on my lil Iron 883 and I can definitely see the comparison with the Street Bob. These bikes are much better for every day riding, commuting locally, running errands, than trying to manhandle my Ultra Classic around parking spots and driveways. I'm eyeing the Pan America though and the Iron would have to go (along with two other bikes... never the Ultra Classic though. I'll Willie the Wimp that bike!) to bring the Pan America home.

I had the 18 slim and it was great first bike. Traded it for Fatboy 114 and it was great too. But now i got new road king special and THAT bike is really great. SMOOTH like Cadillac handles great ...much better then glides and is very well balanced and that 114 in touring chassis with one balancer is really smoking. Much faster then 114 in softails despite being some 95 lbs heavier then fatboy. Plus having the storage is great . No more frustration of where to put my 💩😂

I would say the big front tire on the slim is what makes it feel slower in the corners.

To me my sportster was more top heavy than my street bob. So in some ways the bob handles better despite its extra weight. I wanted the extra weight for longer distance riding.

Not a Sporty..big difference actually. Less vibration, 6 gears, much more comfortable on highways, longer wheelbase, handles better, runs smoother, oil cooled..Truly dont understand the comparison.
