If you put high-hat spacer on inside don't it move bearing and race apart so they no longer match fit? You always match bearing and race and putting space on inside moves bearing away from race..The high-hat spacer should be on outside so you don't make bearing and race misalign .

The bearings need end play minimum of 3,000 of an inch off the race you start with a top hat spacer and then add shims to get the correct end play
