Maybe its a guarded secret, but could you make a vid (or description) explaining technique. Clutching a 45 deg twin is rather tricky, maybe give us squids some pointers. I ride a mildly modded 1250 sporty that I can only seem to power wheelie. Its not really a wheelie, its just poppin the front when I grab second. I'd like to clutch wheelie but I dont know enough to confidently and "safely" do it. Ive tried a few times and it was too sketchy. I think a technique vid would be great, so us amatures dont learn the hard way.

Learn on a little crf230, ttr230 or something. Clutch it up at slow and stand still speeds. Only way to learn is by looping it a few times. If you cant do it on a small bike, probably shouldn't be on a big one.

InvictusR6 Started on a bigger bike (FZ-09) and then started doing it on a smaller one (DRZ400SM) and its so much easier. I tried what I learned on the DRZ on the FZ and my wheelies were so much bigger. Best so far is riding it out from 2nd to the almost the top of 5th.

+Oscar Gonzalez There are no shaft drive Harleys, belt or chain, but shaft drive bikes go mono as well as any. Watch out for2nd gear though, if you go up in 1st and shift to 2nd while on a wheelie it has to be smooth. Too many fuck-ups and 2nd gear (and 5th, usually) is toast and it's a big repair bill. Or just ride the shit out of it, screw 2nd gear!

That is a Harley sport glide made in the 80s. It was an FX "rubber glide" frame. It was superior to the dyna frame they have now imho. It didn't sell well because people said it looked Jap.
